WHAT ARE WE DOING IN THE GARDEN TODAY - 2021

I'd imagine that if they come back, it'll be from the roots, like dahlias or runner beans Nothing to lose and it'll be interesting to see what happens

 

Mine are mostly in big pots on the terrace. The foliage is finally looking sad after the recent frosts, so I'm going to tidy them up, move them under the roof and wait and see

What are we doing in the garden today?

Perfect time to mow the lawn

 

and fog, so no gardening. Managed to get a bike ride in before rain arrived in earnest.

 

I've got fog too @luciusmaximus. There's been very little relief here from snow and frost since Boxing Day.

No chance of any Gardening today..Waterlogged from yesterday and last night we had more than forecast..Walked about earlier with the 'mob' and felt underfoot splodge everywhere with a few places little lakes..One of the flower/rockery beds I have been working on is coming along with new weeds that are hand picked out....The Choisya might be a Ternata..The Honeysuckle photo is How the 2nd one was until our not so nice with the 4 hunting dogs fame neighbours decided theirs and our ivy had to go..poured bleach all along the wall. I put some branches of firs around the area in the hope it does not get the treatment again...It..was quite an explosive kinda day...

 

I have turned the compost for the last time and this bin is now closed and will be used to mulch the border in front garden. I have started off a new heap, with the Chicken bedding and a compost bag of kitchen waste I had been saving to start this new heap. I then started to dig out the chicken run and riddle it out, I am going to use it to grow my spuds in. I have thrown the big bits back in for the chickens to work on. I will continue to spend an hour here and there, untilI get some fresh wood chip, in the next month or so and then it will be dug out and added to the compost that is destined for the front border.

They didn’t seem particularly pleased I was in the run.

and then fog again. Cleared in afternoon but too wet to do anything. Garden is waterlogged again and mud lake in side garden grows ever bigger. Left porch door what whilst filling bird feeders and found one of the Rats sat in a sack of suet pellets happily munching away when I returned.
