@Logan that looks yummy. I am the only one in the family who likes marmalade so when I make it, it's mine, all mine!! We never get Seville oranges over here so we have to make do with whatever there is. I do like making it with grapefruit. I guess I just like that added bit of bitterness :)

I spent my day pacing until I got some good news and then I went shopping.

Ordered some paint for kerb pick up. Going to try it on one of my kitchen cupboard doors and if it looks good, I might buy more and carry on with the rest. It would be a big project so I want to make sure the paint hangs on and is tough enough for attempting the whole shebang. Just as a reference point, when I replaced the knobs on my cupboards and drawers, I needed 48 of them and there is only one knob per unit, hence the wary approach :th scifD36:

I did vacuum the kitchen. Okay, I lied, I pushed the button on the Roomba and let it do it whilst I was out shopping

Thank you @CanadianLori yes the Seville oranges are bitter and can only get them in January, used to make a lot. I do mix the sweet oranges with a grapefruit and have to have the lemons to help it set.

A bit of housework this morning. Had a better nights sleep despite waking a couple of times I did drift off again after the 1st waking. Going to attempt doing 2 rooms at a time this week and see how the discomfort in my arm and gammy leg respond. :fingers crossed:

Might visit my brother this afternoon ( or tomorrow). We'll see how things go.

At 10am walked the boys and we both got soaked. Dried berry and myself now sitting down. Was thinking of making some cards but it's not the same since my friend Keith passed away last October, so might watch some YouTube, I'm interested on how to do some permaculture on the garden.

The front panel fell off the dishwasher earlier in the week. On further investigation the kitchen fitter had only used 2 screws instead of 6. The 2 were half way down the door and had 1 snapped due to then being the pivot point :wallbanging::mute::mute::mute: . So today I had to turn the door 180 degrees, rectify the location points and refit the door using 6 screws as designed. He came highly recommended too, but has not answered text or calls either. Cowboy. I then spent about an hour getting the heights of the doors level. I haven’t paid him all I owe him and will not be doing so.

Ugh I feel for you @rustyroots We ended up having cowboy builders who fitted the kitchen and cut corners. The integrated fridge and dishwasher doors never have been level. glad you havent paid it all.

I've come in from the greenhouse and remembere dwe were having a "curry night" tonight. Got some chicken marinading in a Gohst spice mix with coconut milk etc. got some peshwari naan, popadoms and pickles too. Just sat having a Kingfisher beer whilst eating a bit of bombay mix.

                  Cheers! :ccheers:

Tried some of the new paint to see if it will be noticeably different than the old and hope it is not and will blend in. I'm thinking it's okay but I'll have to wait for the sun to hit the room to see if I got it right.

Well I can't see which is new and which is old from the picture so looks like it blends in well.

Is it the left bit you've done next to the drawers?

We have been here 20 years this year and this morning we did a much-needed clear out. We have a single duvet and single fitted sheets (no single bed) and a double bedspread (we have a king bed). If nothing else the animal charities take them for the furries and we gain space! Also I have three floor length robes, two velvet (one fuchsia, one green and one white polar bear fur) none suitable for here and barely worn. I am sure someone can benefit from them. That leaves me two long and two short ones! There is also a stack of clothes not suitable for here.

I had T'other Half move some pots around on the front patio while I continued to sort. I have very long fingernails so a manicure was in order ... although most would still say they are long!

It is grey out but 18c but it doesn't feel warm so I will go and watch A Place in the Sun and then we will watch some movies.
