I usually end my day here. Apart from various how to do it bits. I am attracted to police sites. Having done my stint as a motorcycle cop. speed cop. I am alwys taken back to past times. However. Being a trafpol in London has no comparrison with being a trafpol on the continent. The hiways are clear. Motorist obey the rules. Hells bells. Watching these vidios. for a cop to speed throgh a junction at such speeds.

I look up a lot of things on YouTube mainly gardening and music from the past. Hubby is into technology so he'll look up about surround systems and home assistance like eco dot and how to have smart bulbs and all that sort of thing.

Zen music and poetry with the odd gardening topic occasionally too. :)

Yes, music. It's amazing what you can find to feed the nostalgia bug :)

Another big area for me is techie and DIY stuff. Our boiler needs re- pressuring every now and then, and I always forget which valves to turn in what sequence. Putting the boiler model in Google gives me a youtube video of a handsome youth showing me exactly what to do.

In the same way, I have changed the washers in a kitchen tap maybe twice in my life (not a testimonial to washer durability, or a confession of my laziness, but a reflection on the fact that we have moved houses every couple of years all my life), and hey-ho, here's a lad showing me what the bits and bobs are called, how to take them apart, and do the job without having a surprise water feature in the kitchen. :dbgrtmb:

I also enjoy watching Month Python clips

I watch a lot of gardening videos and DIY/Woodworking channels. I went on yesterday looking for ideas to make a trug for collecting veg. Found a really good one that I will copy. Whilst searching I found a very interesting video on how Sussex trugs are made. I didn’t realise they were completely hand made.

I watch you tube for DIY too. Everything from cookies decorating (still cannot do it) to auto repair.

@Mike Allen look at the Norfolk (USA) police lip synching video, part of challenge between departments. It is fantastic. Loads of fun :)

As Selleri mentioned, DIY videos are superb. Changing a bulb on a car, getting a setting correct on a mobile, adjusting kitchen hinges....etc etc everything.
Entertainment during lockdown. Saturday evening a large gin with a quiz followed by a few comedy shorts ( Eddie Izzard is our favourite ) :dbgrtmb:
Also you can cast Youtube videos onto your TV from a mobile or laptop. You can then watch it on your 100" LED TV! If you don't know how, YouTube has a video on it:)

I'll file that in the back of my mind but don't have a mobile, laptop or 100" LED TV. Do you think I won't be able to make it work? :roflol:

Has anyone else noticed you seem to get a different screen layout if you watch YouTube on a smart TV as opposed to a laptop.
I know you get a different one using a phone but I guess that's so it fits the screen better.

Yes, @pete the display does look different on my smart TV.

Here is the link. It is a real energizer and funny too :)
