It crossed my mind that many folk who have not been tested have gone for their vaccine and associated with a crowd of people who may be positive.

Good morning @Victoria my friend yes you are so right,I had to queue up for a long time outside and inside for my jab (well over 100/150 people)but I also thought about the risk but not for long I made a educated and informed decision to have the jab:smile::blue thumb:

With testing all though I was tested 4 times with 0 result for covid. With my health issues eg brocoextasis I do suffer from a lot of infections reglards of weather. My Dr advised to get another covid test due to the different varients of covid I contacted 119 and a 5th test was refused as they said none of the top 3 symptoms and that they are running out of tests.I said to my Dr once I am totally fed up with infections and I might as well live in a bubble.

The closure of the borders between Portugal and Spain has been extended till 1 March.

Lisbon and Madrid have stipulated that there are eight permanent crossing points between the two countries, namely in Valença, Vila Verde da Raia, Quintanilha, Vilar Formoso, Marvão, Caia, Vila Verde and Castro Marim, and six crossing points at specific times.

This is ours at Castro Marim ...

I have to say. I consider myself very fortunate. In December last year. I was booked for a urology check-up, a couple of days before, I had a text message from Guys Hosp. Would I like to have my jab the same day. No hesitation. YES PLEASE. So 11/12/20 I gained another little perferation. (soon be a life member of rhe Tetley tea bag brigade) Then I had the second jab 11/01/21 According to the receptionist at my GP's. I was the first member of the surgery to get done. Then about a week ago. I rec'd a text from Lewisham & Greenwich hospital trust. As I was considered high risk. Would I like to make an appointment for the vaccine. Good old local trust. I never contacted them.

Mrs JWK and myself got vaccines two days ago, it was very well organised. Hardly any queuing thanks to the many volunteers.

We are in the 65+ group so lucky to get it so soon, much earlier than the online vaccination calculator predicted.

We did have wait for 15 minutes after the jab before driving. Some people went and sat in their cars, we decided to stay in the warm in a big hall area, away from others.

Hello yes I also had to wait 15 minutes when I had the Pfizer jab but when I have the flu jab every year that's also a 15 minute wait before you can go:smile:

Had my first flu jab this year and they stuck a pneumonia one in as well.

I’m still waiting so still sat indoors and will be for a few months yet, not worth me getting COVID with my lungs.
My biggest threat is my wife, in her job she is close to umpteen people from posh to the unwashed any of which could hit, she even gets people who should be self isolating coming in.
She also had a boss who thinks all supermarket staff are overpaid, who Leo thinks it’s safe for infected people to come into work ( one the shifts he is not in obviously).
