    Is it possible to delete members that 'follow' us but haven't posted on GC for years please?

      Never can understand acquiring followers who have not had any contact with you or not posted on something you have ...
      ..but want to follow you..I know it is likely to be completely innocent but still find it strange..very good that you have asked this question....

        But these people have in the past Dianne. There are probably very good reasons why they aren't here now.

          The forum is there to see and join in a topic or not...but I would say why have this option in the first place...why is it even there?

            A number of members flit in and out of GC, unlike others that spend a good deal of time here. If they like what, or the way certain members post, it's easier for them to 'follow' and go directly to what that person has posted. Saving them time instead of searching through all the threads.

              You don't have to use it if you don't want.:wallbanging: But just because you don't want to use it doesn't mean that other members should be denied the options. It's not a stalking device it merely alerts followers to posts from members that they like.:doh:

                Ok I follow a good friend and yet I see nothing of this person's posts...how do you see them or is it like a SAS setting?..
                Would appreciate a lesson...hope you do not get a headache though....

                but that is not working then for me...I have never received a post reminder until today from a stranger..and yet I choose to follow a good friend and never ever had a reminder, likewise the friend has not received a reminder of a postings by me either...?

                    Well yes, only to a very good friend and only people that know me in 'real'...:)..I do not like the idea of others following me.....If you like a subject you look for it and join in or just read, the person should not be the main subject in my opinion because to me they are then on the wrong forum. I am not narrow minded at all, it is just how I feel about it.
                    It is now working and I have 1 follower my best friend and I would ignore others. no offence meant.:runforhills:
