                      There are people out there who have lost their jobs, there are people who are going to lose their jobs.
                      Companies folding because they cant work.

                      And what appears to be the burning question???

                      Can I book a holiday?:mad::mad::mad:

                        Totally agree, the sentiment is all wrong.

                        However, many, many jobs have been lost from hospitality industry and all things holiday related. So the fortunate few who still can go on a holiday may save many jobs, in a way.

                        The key is to do it safely. The "Eat out to help out" was thinking along the lines to save jobs and businesses, but was badly timed infectionwise.

                          From today's DE:

                          "Germany and France have only vaccinated 4.3 and 3.7 percent of their adult populations respectably"

                              I think its going to be a long haul the vaccination programme.
                              We are sprinting ahead maybe, and I'm pleased about that but I dont think it really works that way and the vaccine will need to move on pretty soon.

                              So by the time we start getting the second dose a new more up to date version of the vaccine will be required, so expect another jab around Autumn?

                              Its a world wide thing and will have to be treated as such.

                              I'm slightly worried about how the scientists are reacting in the UK about easing lockdown, they seem very reluctant even with most of the susceptible population now vaccinated.
                              I'm getting the impression they are not sure the vaccine is going to work.

                              I think it's more like that they don't trust, with good reason, for the idiotic elements in the Public not to cause more infections even though we reach the stage where most people have had the jab. The vaccine doesn't stop reinfection but does suppress the risk of serious illness and death.
