My legs and shoulders were like lead yesterday. I think I will have to get my lad trained up for future tree pruning. Unfortunately I have no room for bonfires.

We are doing well and the comments from Mr.W are 100% sitcom comedy....Stuff like are you in for the night shift....me..Isn't this great fun...replied...is it....later again the same remark from me...Don'd you think this is a fun day now...replied...do you think so....haha..... breaks into song....getting better all the time....

Change of siting ,but still near the property and nearer to the chicken house and pen...as slighly more room to erect the greenhouse...so far.. 014.JPG .
just look at the speed of those pages going back and forth:yikes:this was a bad start but soon got into the swing of it...Also linked to the Hope Charity for raising some funds with the aid of our swear box, also makes some extra awareness with the Tale, attracting some attention. 018.JPG

So below is the new site with the support frame there already... 020.JPG
Mr. W, is busy doing his cat duties around the Garden..He would rather delay this job
      than deny Saber his pleasures...

All I've done is mix some seed compost. Equal parts of JI No1, Coir & own compost.
+2 in the shed, so now back in doors with a mug of Hot Chocolate.

I used to love climbing trees as a lad. When up in the canopy I noticed that where someone had pruned it some time ago, the branch ends are rotting into the branch. At some point I’ll have to cut the bigger branches back but for now I just thinned out the massively overgrown tangle of branches.
Shoulders and bum are aching for me lol I must have been in some very odd positions!

I realise I am now replying to myself.....but easy for this moment, where is the aperitif.....
Yes, been a remarkable day really, never put together a greenhouse before but we are progressing and have not killed each as yet...still time of course...
Tried to site the base which has legs ,it refused to go in our ground which is mostly rocky within, so gave up in the end because I was not permitted to dig any out because of making the ground unstable..:lolpt:.final warning last time..:psnp:So nowhere finished but most of the frame is done now, just not doing any more today...dinns to sort out.:)

I know it sounds silly but yesterday we watered the wallflowers, well hubby did because he uses the heavy watering can,to see if they'll recover, looks like some are but have to wait and see. Tonight it's supposed to rain again so hope that it will.

I actually 'did' something yesterday - I tidied the 'conservatory' outside the back door, took all dead leaves off plants, watered some (but not the cacti and succulents), and them vacuumed the floor and the cobwebs around the roof so it's nice and tidy now.
I watered some thyme and lemon balm plants which are in a cold frame down the garden.

Officially nothing as "working from home" today
Unofficially nothing either; thanks to a couple of inches of rain since it warmed up late Saturday.

No sun as promised ,damp almost like rain so quietly planning my next move to get the base where it should be. Mr.W is stubborn over this change of plan because the legs versus rocks contest......rocks, we are all rocks under the soil, the whole area is the same 'so just work around them'. I am happy to dig them out for the legs to go in the ground, can soon firm up what I disturb..I know I can....hey the glimmer of the Sun has just appeared...just in time:yes: .

Hi, do you make your own potting compost for planting seeds into? I garden organically and organic compost is expensive and, at the moment, hard to come by. I was thinking of making my own using sieved compost and sharp sand, but I don't want to waste all the seeds I've just bought. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.
