My order of Acer Ukigumo, 25 Large mixed colour Gladioli bubs, 25 mixed colour Butterfly Gladioli bulbs, and 3 Canna Rhizomes (Tropicana, Tropicana Gold Mactro, Tropicana Black) the last 3 are something I haven't grown for years due to the Canna virus, arrived today. The bulbs have gone into the Green House in a box until the weather improves, while the Acer Ukigumo is staying ln the warm room until the weather becomes milder.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Just received 8 packets of seed from Silverhill Seeds (South Africa) These are mainly bulb seeds including some more species gladioli.

After being informed via e-mail, a couple of weeks ago, that my order of a bare root Climbing Rose "The Pilgrim" was going to be delayed, with no information on how long for, I've just had another e-mail telling me it's on it's way.

My late Xmas present the first one arrived just before Xmas, faulty + saga of 2 and half months long...:gaah: so got a refund just the other day through Paypal and purchased this model which is what I wanted originally, but the Model 725S was out of stock before Xmas. It was popular on Sewing Bee Programme...so well advertised so attracted extra customers...Had no time as yet to see if it works...:mute:..:)

We have two good Garden Centres in nearby Ruffec and the other is Champagne Mouton nearby also

                  Autres rayons – Garden Deco

                  Autres rayons – Garden Deco

                  Arbustes résistants - Gamm Vert

Had some good plants and bad plants from these Garden Centres. You do get a guarantee with some purchases for quality and disease free,,,,

..very few prices but generally more expensive than the UK..our Lidls do a few plants and fairly cheap like in the UK..ok for the odd plant as range is always small...France do not seem to publish prices, unless it is an online business.

Ordered a Phlomis italica today, just hope it manages to survive the winters here in Nottinghamshire! Sounds like I need a light soil, a sufficiently sheltered spot and plenty of sun.

SWMBO went into Aldi today, bought me a activ energy 20/40v clipper hedge cutter combo bare tool. Normally, I wouldn't entertain using cordless garden tools as I'm a petrol head when it comes to strimmers, cutters, mowers and the like....but at £8.99 reduced, it would have been rude not to! I already use the Ferrex stuff, so I have the batteries. It should be ideal when I fancy having a quick prune, but can't be bothered going full metal jacket in the garden

I needed some plastic snap on eyelets for attaching covers to blue water pipe hoops of long cloches over raised beds. They are 60 for £14.50 (24p each) on Amazon.

Just got 580 of them I won on ebay yesterday for under £14 (2.4p each), maybe because the item title was 57 eyelets, when the detailed description and image made it clear it was for 57 packets of 10 eyelets.

And even better when I counted them and discovered there was 580 enclosed :) (4 boxes of 12 packets and 10 loose packets.

                                A late reply from me.
I have used Premier Seeds on Ebay for quite a few years, a superb supplier:blue thumb: So they only sell from their website now, do they?
Seems their Ebay shop is still on but no items for sale.
