Good morning everyone, it’s looking a bit spring here, plants are popping there heads up and I can see the lawn going more green now love this time of year.

weather is forecast dry until mid afternoon so gonna get down to that garden centre early then sow my sweet pea seeds and rip some young ivy out, don’t like I’ve it kills shrubs, hope you all have a lovely day all

 

Just heard that my lovely Uncle ( Dad's brother) passed away last night, we have been expecting this since just before Christmas, but nevertheless so very sad. . Thankfully, just as they did for Dad ,he was well cared for by the marvellous NHS. and equipped with a hospital bed in his lounge and provided with excellent home support. My cousins and his grandchildren were by his side ,so a peaceful closing to long 93 yr life.

 

So sorry to read this. Always sad even if expected. Your Uncle and your Father lived good, long lives but a shame to end in these difficult times. Catch up with you later. Sending hugs. Vxx

Sorry to hear your sad news Upsydaisy, so glad he had all his family around him, big hugs to you and family

 

I'm sorry to hear about your loss @Upsydaisy. It is wonderful that he could have loved ones there when he passed. Wonderful for him and them as they would have witnessed his peaceful passing. Over here, no visitors are allowed and people pass on alone if in the hospital or care home. I hope they have a great celebration of his 93 years of life.

Thanks everyone, yes I think it's the same here if people are in hospital too Lori and as for care homes I think that is due to change soon by allowing one person to be chosen as the only family/ friend allowed to visit.
Thankfully, like my Dad did, my Uncle chose to stay at home and receive end of life care. So much nicer if appropriate for them.

How are things with you Lori, hopefully Sam is making a good and steady recovery.?

 

Well just having a cup of tea and a peanut butter biscuit mmmm, I’ve just dug up half the ivy and popped my sowing soil into my probagator now it’s started raining but glad I’ve at least made a start

 

Thank you for asking after her. She is doing excellently! Full recovery and in better health than all of 2020
