Hi all, Mr Flumpy & I are well thanks Upsydaisy, I finished at 2pm today so just been unpacking some more boxes. It has been raining on and off most of the day so I’ll have to save the garden for the weekend :hapydancsmil:.
Sorry to hear your knee is still poorly fingers crossed it improves very soon :grphg:

Hi Moyra how are you, have you had your injection yet?

      Mr Shiney what’s for tea?

Wondering if anyone can help? I’ve bought two cards, one for each new neighbor, being as we can’t talk face to face, I thought it would be nice to post a card, but not sure what to write...... any ideas ? :please:

A friendly hello to start... when able it will be good if you can pass some knowledge about the area that I now am living... that I might well not know about...., already settling in nicely.....feel free to give a shout over the fence.....of course not knowing them is difficult...age group, lifestyle, hobbies..do they seem to like gardening..as in.. are their gardens cared for...have you heard them in the garden yet? so any information on them?if so you can draw in a mental picture more....and that would be easier to know what to say..or just short and sweet...I am your new neighbour and it will be good to say hello to you, but with difficult times still, just doing it this way via a written note ... my name is Flumpy.. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Im sorry sorry to hear that, I hope he soon recovers, it must be hard not being able to hug them or care for them :grphg: keeping my fingers crossed for him :dbgrtmb:.
Yes I’m still doing the same job, seems like this last year has got even busier, we are now having to deliver extra due to people isolating, sometimes it’s 60 a day :yikes: but we keep plodding on, looking forward to the nice weather this weekend :dbgrtmb:

Hi @Flumpy , what a nice thought!! I would agree with Dianne.
Just introduce yourselves to them and add a line or two of relevant info....your interest in ....gardening ,baking, golf, football ,walking ect., you could even ask them for suggestions for local walks and restaurants.
If judging by their own gardens you could maybe ask their advice on soil type and what they have found grows well and what doesn't.

Just an offering of light , friendly banter to serve as an icebreaker.

I would add your phone number. :blue thumb:

I just knocked up a quick stir fry with chicken, onion, garlic, carrots, French beans, sweet peppers, white cabbage and mushrooms. We started with a chicken soup that I made the other day and Sarafi came begging at the back door for his chicken drumstick. He stands up on his back legs and taps on the glass when he can smell the food. :heehee:

stirfry... I do with steak very similar no cabbage but sweet corn and a splash of soy sauce towards the end...Sarafi guessing your dog. so no cooked bones then...well that applies to cats actually so maybe different for dogs...

That's right  and he's not our cat :noidea:. He just spends most of his day and a lot of his nights here. A large part of that time is spent sleeping in the propagator in the greenhouse :heehee:. He also follows us around when we're working in the garden.

He's slightly unusual for a cat as he is quite happy cracking open chicken bones to extract the marrow. He's over 12 years old, fit as a fiddle and looks like he's two years old. He still hunts rabbits, squirrels and pigeons.

                            Aloha everyone,

Our Sainsbury's order arrived on time and all stored away by 7 a.m.

I got a lot done in the garden yesterday as it was such a nice day. I was very careful not to overdo things and did 45 minutes at a time with at least an hour inbetween.

                            Keep well

                            Aloha!

Good morning everyone, @Flumpy, no injection yet not been well enough, still isolating, although yesterday I did venture out to the opticians because my eye sight is deteriorating fast. The optician said that my pressure was ok so the glaucoma has not changed but I have a cataract which is growing faster, Thus the deterioration in my sight. £294 just for the lenses in my last years frames.

@shiney, Amber used to love her chicken drumsticks, always had them raw though, but if cooked took them off the bone. Does Sarafi ever go home. It would annoy me if I had a cat that stayed away from home.
Have a good day everyone, Stay safe and well. God bless.:wub2:
