@moyra yes, he does go home but we think they don't have a cat flap. They both work. :noidea:

He does obviously like them because if they come down to us (not often over Sarafi's 12 years) he goes straight up to his 'mummy'. :)

Good morning everyone, it’s a crisp frosty morning with blue sky woohoo! Thanks all for sending your sunshine our way, I can finally get in the garden today. My neighbors loved our cards and I even got a lovely letter back off one of them :dbgrtmb:, so happy we moved here, it’s so peaceful (so far), :dbgrtmb:.

            what is everyone upto today?
I’m sowing my seeds and digging the rest of the ivy up :spinning:

Another super day to be outside enjoying our gardens. :)
After spending the whole day out there yesterday I became very disheartened at how much my arthritis has suddenly impeded on my ability to go about my normal day to day routines and the hobbies that I love.
I came in yesterday thinking that it was the end of being able to carry on gardening, as everything I did yesterday was excruciatingly painful and took so long for me to complete.
Little things upset me ....even the distance I had to walk to reach one of the garden taps to rinse my hands seemed like a marathon hike!
I think the shock was heightened by my surprise that my x-rays didn't diagnose what I thought they would....in fact ..what I had hoped they would ,because I knew from past experience it would have been completely treatable. It is now clear that this is not the case and it's just the worsening of the arthritis that I've had for over 4O yrs.

I gave myself a good talking to last night and begrudgingly dosed myself with painkillers...... ( not keen on masking things with meds), woke with the sun shining and a fresh determination to face todays challenges with optimism......:fingers crossed: this mindset doesn't leave me!!

Plan to carry on slowly working my way around all the borders , weeding and getting them in good shape for planting out in Spring.

Onwards and upwards....on the plus side...and I'll whisper for fear of jinxing things...... my Cleome looks to be germinating!!!

Have a great day everyone. :spinning:

Morning Upsydaisy, I’m sorry to see your arthritis has got worse, I’m hoping the sun on your bones helps, do you do any stretching exercises in the mornings, they say it helps loosen your joints up, I’ll be sending my healing hugs your way...... cup of tea/coffee ?

Morning Moyra I trust you are well? :spinning:

                    Aloha everyone,

Yes, it's another beautiful day today. Mrs Shiney has given me a neck and back massage to help me through the day :blue thumb:. I have a lot I want to get done out there - slowly.

@Upsydaisy I hope things ease up for you. Good weather should be of help. :) Mrs Shiney is sowing our Cleome today.

I still have an enormous amount of admin to do and have spent the last four hours wading through the new government guidelines on moving out of lockdown.

                    Keep well

                    Aloha!

Hi @Flumpy ,how are things..bet you can't wait to get out into your lovely new garden!!
                      :hapydancsmil:

Oh yes thanks during the 40 yrs of having this I know all the exercises and stretches that have to be done...otherwise I wouldn't even be able to get down the stairs each morning !!:roflol:

Just never had such a severe flare up that has lasted so long ( exactly a year now). I am trying so hard not to go back on all the medication that I was taking for years.
I had talked myself into thinking it was just Bursitis..... that does at times effect my joints, but is treatable. Sadly not this time.

Hey ho, never mind, have to learn to adapt and live with it.:dbgrtmb:

Have you done those Sweet Peas yet??

At least you can have a joke about it upsydaisy I blame all this damp weather we have in the uk.
I’ve just hung my washing up and about to sow my seeds after soaking them, the sun is fighting to get through the fog, think I’d best put a warm jumper on out there :dbgrtmb:

enjoy your garden as much as you can all :)

                              Aloha everyone,

                              Very misty out.

I got in a good walk yesterday to the village, around it and then home, of course. :heehee:

There's a small area in what used to be a farmyard where there are tiny shops hidden round the back where there used to be barns. One is a fresh seafood place with quite a few people sitting at tables outside eating and having coffee with each rickety bench/table at least 20ft from each other. A similar thing with a sandwich/coffee shop. Also there was a florist. a clothes shop and a toy shop open. All had big signs saying nobody allowed to enter the premises and had someone sitting outside each place to deal with possible customers - including the food shops. The non-food shops may have just been operating an online click and collect or deliver service - I saw the florist taking bouquets out to their van.

I feel sorry for these very small enterprises who are unable to get any assistance from the government and are attempting to try and keep their businesses alive until things get better.

I don't think we are going to get any sunshine today :noidea:

                              Keep well

                              Aloha!

Good morning everyone!!! Lovely pics @Flumpy .

Had a enjoyable day in the garden yesterday, pacing myself and taking breaks every so often. Did a lot of potting up of all the cuttings that I took from Mum and Dad's garden last year. Really pleased to see everything looks to have taken well.:hapydancsmil:

Today I will move on to the next border that needs tidying.

Sun is out and the mist is rapidly disappearing.

                                Have a peaceful Sunday. :spinning:
