My irises are starting to flower. I thought they were going to be a summer bloomer.

Love the Hellebores. I really want to add to mine, but not had any sucess over the last 3 years with seed. Any tips?

Camellia "Donation" today. She is very happy this year. Likes it damp, cold but not freezing and most importantly...- no March winds ...so far.
            Her best year ever...

Thanks for comments @pete and @Jenny namaste. Jenny is the Magnoliaeflora actually as white as yours looks? Burncoose say it is blush pink. And a question regarding Donation - does it do the decent thing and drop the dead flowers, or is it like my white double that leaves them sitting, browning, until I snap them off?:wallbanging:

She is extremely pale....such a delicate shade more like the complexion of a new born baby.
Not very photogenic...I have just taken a close up which is as pink as it gets. Pales as it opens...

Donation does drop a lot of its dead blooms but not all. Of course, its the 30 out of reach that you can't easily get to....
but I can forgive her those for the spectacle she gives so early in the season...

Now this one...."Bobs Tinsie" is the prime example of self cleaning.
As I opened the front door this morning this bloom was on the mat,

Just let the seeds drop where they are as long as they don't get disturbed they will come up the next late winter. I've got a lot at the moment, got to think where I'm going to put them.

Hiding under one of our lilac trees. The tree is quite old - about 70 years.
