Three attempts so far. Because my local NHS trust are not doing the vaccines themselves (handed off to NICS) the GP's etc have nothing to do with it other than booking you in on the same website you can book yourself in on. Apparently, although you book in three or four days in advance, they do not know which vaccine they are getting until it is delivered that morning - so you rock up and if it is the wrong one, you are stuffed. I cannot have the Pfizer one as it was flagged very early on as being unsuitable for those who have allergies and breathing issues (both of which are me!) - if I could get one of the others, I would be there tomorrow

I know of one family who have not stopped having family round and overnight stays for the last year .

I think they have all had the virus at some stage and have just carried on as normal.

Same in our road, some have observed it whilst others have visitors coming and going as per normal. As far as I know it's the ones who have broken the rules who have caught it. It doesn't seem as infectious as claimed all of our neighbours who caught it, only half the household tested positive.

Lots of people walking and dog walking around here, everyone keeping their distance. Not noticed any serious visiting going on. Roads are a little quieter, but where is everyone driving too?
Drove past the retail park last week, and the car park was full, what shops are open?

Those breaking the rules would not want to be here and caught ... by Police carrying guns escorting you back home followed by heavy fines.

Roads considerably busier this morning and I was back in the house by quarter to eight, so it was only going to get worse. Normality has resumed....

So you have actually turned up 3 times and then had to go away because on each occasion they were using the Pfizer one?
They are doing it the same here, nothing to do with the doctors surgery.
I turned up and got the AZ one but as I booked to get the second dose at a different place I was told to make sure they are using the AZ one on the day.
So there could be lots more problems for everyone being stored up when it comes to getting the second dose.

If you can book in somewhere that's not a large centre for several surgeries they are more likely to have the A Z one. One of our local pharmacies are doing vaccinations and they only use A Z due to not being able to store Pfizer at low enough temperature.

I dont think there are any real options of going to a small place around where I live.
When I went online they only had big places.

I can see on my limited excursion out that there are a lot of people not following the rules, also by talking to family it’s pretty much the same all over so I’ll not be out much till June hen my second AZ jab kicks in.

Sounds like they're going to be in big trouble when people start booking their second jabs.
