As a Brit I am pleased we are "closed" to the Brits at the moment (lots are here) because the "holiday yobboes" are such an embarrassment. I have seen behaviour beyond words ... the worst being we were having lunch on the terrace of a Scottish restaurant and 10-12 of them were there, hours off the plane bragging how they had been drinking since before boarding, cursing, most with tattoos everywhere you could see skin. They started to leave (possibly asked to) and one vomitted all over the terrace! They all thought it hilarious.

Now we have lots of French here (possibly have homes) and they are notorious for not abiding by rules re masks/distance/etc. No wonder France is having the difficulties they are now. Algarve only had 4 cases yesterday and none the other day.

      Moan over about foreigners misbehaving.

I think it's been the way for a long time, a certain element amongst the young in the UK are complete morons, especially when abroad.

But they do spend a lot of money, so local areas find it hard to crack down on them.

This stupid flip flopping over whether the vaccine is okay for under 55's is based on a very small portion of the people getting shots and then developing blood clots. Which can be treated quite successfully!

And then to add on to the stupidity - the media is pumping up the reaction about the poor under 55's not getting it. We aren't even down to having all the 70 year olds done so what is the new issue? Just how does this change things?

          Ridiculous!

This German AZ thingy. Looking at the news last night - it's only 2 of the 16 states within Germany who have paused AZ jabs. Nobody in Canada has had blood clots after taking the AZ vaccine - yet there is this knee jerk reaction to the decisions taken by a couple of German states. Bizarre.

Someone needs to mention that the more people you jab the more likely it is that the cohort will have health issues which are not related to the vaccine.

Problem is, this faffing about is costing lives - when will Europe get over Brexit.

Just makes you think there is more to it than just what we are seeing on the surface.

Is anyone counting how many blood clots are being reported regarding the Pfizer jab?

I think moronic UK behaviour abroad goes back to the 1970s package holidays. I was possibly one once! Hopefully one of the more well behaved morons.

I don't think we're going to see any improvement for another year. Pandemics, or what used to be called plagues, tend to take two years or more to start dying out. We have the help of a vaccine now but those that are ignoring Covid's existence and the regulations, will keep it going for some while yet.

I tend to think that those who are ignoring the regulation are in some way shortening the the situation, its actually the regulations that are designed to lengthen the situation.

Protect the NHS, is all about making this last a long time.

Looks like all 16 German states have now decided to stop offering AZ to under 60's - the EMA have again repeated that AZ is safe - but then what do they know.

They do collect this type of data for all new drugs - it's not just a covid jab thing. Surprisingly, in the millions of people who have been jabbed by Pfizer, some of these have also developed blood clots. However, Pfizer/Biontech is a US/German combo and they have their profits to protect - so no one says anything.

I've got to stop being sarcastic...no more from me on this...

I don't see how those who are ignoring the regulations can shorten it. If everyone was to abide by them then this pandemic would already be in decline. Making this last a long time won't protect the NHS, it may lessen the numbers being hospitalised at any one time but the numbers will pan out over a much longer period.
