Currently 8°C and that's as goods as it gets. Gradually getting cooler through the day hitting about 0°C tonight. Some sun, breeze from the north; best place to be is probably the greenhouse.

Wind is nippy...all grey right now but sun forcast for this afternoon.
Really cold nights coming...glad I haven't bought bedding plants for planting out this week.
Sorry for any birds who have to sit on eggs over the next few days and nights,
            Jenny

7C now( feels like 3C) but sunny.

I wouldn't chance planting out bedding plants this early....not until mid May normally.

Currently 7 degrees C, but with a chilly wing and we have had snow falling this morning. Nothing heavy, but such a contrast to yesterday. We were sat in the garden until 8pm as it was glorious.

A few flakes of snow coming down now.
Think we might lose some new shoots on those plants that are susceptible to frost which means they will have to make further shoots later on.
I hate it when that happens, often ruins flowering on early flowerers and causes die back on others.

We are almost up to 32f. And a day of clouds, possible rain and 52f is predicted. We need the water and I will be opening up the cold frame, for the day, where the trays of onions are sitting so they get watered for free. :)

So true, our first lot of bedding is a good 3 weeks off being ready for sale. The amount of people who have been asking for summer hanging baskets this last week is crazy. Bedding plants was traditionally from late April early May onwards, the norm nowadays seems to be Easter weekend. I still don't get my autumn bulbs until after the last bank holiday (August) yet most stores want them off their shelves by then ready for the Christmas goodies, madness.

Just come in from digging a bit on the allotment, wind is a bit nippy, but its sunny now, and that does make a difference at this time of the year.

The ground was surprisingly dry for the time of the year, and where did all that winter rain go.
