      Aloha everyone,

@moyra I agree with the others. Call your doctor. That's what doctors are there for. :blue thumb:

@Flumpy good choice of plants. The Elata stay golden all year round. After the flowers (black sort of colour) have finished cut them out other wise they make them look tatty. If we have a cold winter coming up then protect the Phormium for the first year. The leaves will be OK but it will help to fleece the pot itself to protect the roots until they are fully established. :)

We've been very busy in the garden - oooh, my back!

      Keep well

      Aloha!

Good Morning Shiney! That good advice, looking forward to seeing them all flower, I’ve kept the information card that came with them. You take it easy on that back, I cut my lawn, trimmed the edges and a little weeding, then sat and enjoyed the results, each day I’m seeing different flowers, to which I’ve put on my gallery, not sure of there names, you may know them :), have a lovely sunny day all :spinning:

@Flumpy not too sure how often you'll get a flower on your Phormium, might depend on which one you have . My parents had one and it was ( is) huge and it finally produced a flower spike 3 years ago for the first time ( so far).....quite a strange one too!!:)

If everything suits it and it enjoys it's new home then you may be lucky and see a bloom in about 5years time.:fingers crossed:

I have ordered some Covonia to come with my Tesco order tomorrow and hoping that may help. Apart from that I shall have to phone the doctors because it is really chronic. or I could go to the pharmacist tomorrow they can be very useful sometimes and easier to get hold of than the doctors. Doesn't seem to be a problem during the day just at night when I lay down. If its bad tonight again I may sit in an armchair in the lounge. Might get more sleep that way

Forgot to press post reply last night so am doing so now. I did have a better night propping myself up with four pillows.
Have a good day God bless. :wub2:

                  Good Morning.
Well it's nearly here, our day of rain:hapydancsmil::yahoo:. Today one of my jobs will be to make sure all the pots are pulled out from their sheltered corners so that they can get a good soaking.....I say soaking optimistically :fingers crossed:.

Not sure of our agenda today , plenty to do in the garden , hubs needs to go into town but not sure if I could cope as my knee gave away completely again yesterday. We'll see how things go.

Enjoy your day , I love these spring temps they are just perfect for me, warm without being too hot that you can't do anything other than sit in the shade. Perfecto!!

                      Aloha everyone,

Another busy day today :phew: A Zoom meeting at 8 a.m. then both Mrs S and myself had to go into town for optician appointments. The person who did my test said I needed new bifocals and the manageress (Sharon) that deals with sorting out glasses, who knows me well, said I didn't :rolleyespink:. She said my prescription has changed but not enough to warrant new glasses. I already needed new frames for my computer glasses as Sharon had to repair them last year and I haven't changed them for ten years. I also got £30 off for being a member of the AA. :blue thumb:

I did some more cutting of new lawn edges this evening - after my afternoon bridge session. I'm just off to spend my £30 savings on an Indian takeaway :heehee:

                      Keep well

                      Aloha!

Waiting with great anticipation to see just how much rain...if any.... we end up receiving today. At the moment we are enjoying brilliant sunshine when our forecast says that we are in the midst of a downpour!!!

No rain forecast here for the next two weeks. We were supposed to have some yesterday but someone forgot to tell the rainclouds where we are.

I'm gradually working my way round the garden but the weeds are still beating me!
