Just been out and covered lots of stuff up, now looking at the radar we have another lot of rain coming before the frost.
I really dont remember a winter like this ever before.
Global warming, yeah pull the other one.

It stayed dry today but breezy with a mixture of sunshine and cloud, 6C/43F. Snow is forecast for the early hours tonight.

We had a very gusty night and it still is now with the wind from the North at 18 km/h gusting at 25 km/h going to 26c (feeling 29c) but lovely and sunny.

I am pleased I have evergreen perennials so I don't have to worry about the garden.

Vicky at this time of year and with this weird weather we are currently experiencing it's some of my perennials that are my worry....some are battered and sorry looking now. The variations between day and night temps are the main cause for concern here.
All the summer display bedding are snuggly fleeced up in the cold frames or greenhouse.....so they are all fine.:dbgrtmb:

Morning Upsy. I believe most of your perennials start from scratch each year so delicate whereas mine are permanently in place ... well, some might be there, Hebes, etc. It is the display bedding I couldn't deal with ... had enough of that way back when! My Agapanthus are starting to bloom so will get a pic in a week or so.

No Vicky, our garden has loads of established perennials! Mass of colour out there now and as yet nothing new for this year has been planted yet. I just like to ring the changes each summer with different summer bedding. :)
I will put some pics on the May thread if I find time to take some today.:blue thumb:

It is sunny and 36f. The guessers say it will get up to 50f and later we will be treated to more clouds, some rain and going back down near freezing. Getting irritated with this refusal of normal conditions to happen. It should be at least 60f during the day and in the low 40's at night!

This cold seems to be wide spread, makes you wonder what's going on and if the summer is ever going to really warm up as it should.
