These are the things that rekindled my creative desires in later life - about 11 years ago.
We were visiting a local Nursery that also had a lean to coffee shop and locally made items for sale. I fell in love with a tea cosy topped with lavender sprigs tiedwith raffia.
They told me who made them and I got in touch with her. She couldn't divulge the pattern details but did tell me the flowers were from a book by Leslie Stanfield which was readily available. This started my " Tea Cosy Madness" era and the rest is history,

It's amazing what we come across that triggers inspiration - and where we find that inspiration. I've seen knitted tea cosies before, none as pretty as yours of course, :) but knitted flowers would never have occurred to me.

@luciusmaximus I am sorry to have taken so long replying but I have not been on this site for a while.
I haven't painted many animals because I haven't got the confidence to do so, but after this horse I hope to do some more.
I can do Teddy bears :love30: and have shown a card I made for my cousin and his wife to congratulate them on the birth of their new grand-daughter.

          resized Llongyfarchiadau.jpeg

The word on the top is 'Congratulations' and at the bottom 'Grandmother and Grandfather'
Inside the heart is written 'Grand-daughter'

I know I said I can't do cats but a friend has asked me if I'd paint her cat and I didn't like to say no. I haven't started it yet and keep putting it off :frown: ... no confidence :frown:

Here's a red panda I did with coloured pencils a few years ago :-

          With-whiskers-1.jpg

And a cuddly toy panda that belonged to my late partner Beryl :-

My Teddy bears, they live in a wardrobe :-

          A mouse :-

I don't know how good the fur is on these, I just do an impression of it ...
I'm sure you could do animals ...

They're all lovely Michael. Looking at the faces on your teddy bears, they look a mischievous pair.

That's why they live in the wardrobe. I only let them out at Christmas time and they sit in a basket with tinsel around them :heehee:
