Very nice! I was sat behind a new Puma the other day, and it was a handsome thing - lovely shade of blue too

Last time I bought a car was in 1990. It was a Ford Fiesta XR2i which I sold in 1996, I have been doing contract hire ever since.

I should be looking at being more green with all new cars being electric in 2030. Think I will go for the Flint mobile, the lack of power steering could be an issue but the air con is a plus.:loll:

Love it @gks ! I bet it's cheap on tax and insurance though. Come to that, low emissions too. :heehee:

And no Lithium Ion batteries to worry about being recycled.
Only issue to resolve now, getting my wife to have a career change, chauffer.:heehee:

Picked the new car up today. :)

It holds the road very well with a firm but not hard ride and surprisingly for a 1 litre engine has a nice grumble. The stop/start engine is quiet and I'll continue using it although it has the option to be turned off. Lots of bells and whistles to get used too in and around the dash.

Nice looking car . similar colour to Mrs Shiney's Ford but yours looks a slightly darker red. Hers was the cheapo red paint option :heehee:

What does that word "cleaning" mean?

Thanks @shiney . :) That's the only red (called Fantastic red) Ford seem to be using at the moment.

I had forgotten too Shiney but I can't put this through the car wash, @Fat Controller would tell me off.

We were lucky to be able to buy it, our dealer says they aren't receiving any new cars at the moment. There was a fire at the factory in Japan that produces the computer chips which is holding up production. Other makes of cars are affected too.

If you have the same manufacturer's warranty of seven years on the bodywork, it says using a car wash negates the warranty!

This is the colour of her car - but not her car

When you see all the screens and gagets combined with switches so small and close together, you end up pressing two, you can see why people crash into one another all the time.

                            I didn't know that but Mr S did. :)

Yes. Mrs. Shiney's car does look a brighter red.

The only ones that worry me @pete are those on the left side of the steering wheel - they are cruise control buttons and a little too easy to catch when turning the wheel. I wouldn't call the others hazardous as many have to be operated at a standstill.

Things I always find difficult on my Ford are fog lights, they are tiny switches under the right hand side of the steering wheel, finding them in the dark or on a winding road is fatal.
As for radios, can never work them out, more switches than that and they still sound the same as they did 25yrs ago.
If you get to use the cruise control on a British road you will be lucky.

Notice they have swapped sides for speedo and rev counter?
