Thank you @Nikolaos I can never remember its name or where we got it, but it does so well for us every year with very little care at all.
Its an evergreen, white azalea like this but not 100% on variety.

Thanks very much, I haven't grown any azaleas before but I will probably try a white one now after seeing how lovely and floriferous yours is! :):dbgrtmb:

Lovely @Upsydaisy , but how are you keeping the snails off them? With all the rain mine are getting nibbled.

They are in pots John that stand on small upturned plant pot trays/ saucers ,which in turn are then placed in a much larger pot tray/saucer that is filled with water that reaches just below the top of the smaller pot tray/ saucer. If I haven't explained it clearly just say and I will go out and take a pic. :dbgrtmb:

Hi @JWK, I would not have the standard of hostas that upsydaisy has but the one I have in the ground was nibbled a bit last year so once I saw the tips of the leaves emerge a few weeks back I broke up some egg shells and spread them around the hosta and it seems to have done a bit better this year in terms of slug damage. It is still just unfolding its leaves but posted a video showing how it is progressing here. Just said I'd mention it in case yours were in the ground rather than pots.
                      Happy gardening!

We don’t seem to have any slugs here, and only a very few snails, so I decided to plant three hostas recently. They are all coming up really well now, and seem to have enjoyed all the weeks of constant rain!

                            They look good, well done.

I had success with garlic wash last year (boiled a crushed clove for a few minutes, then about a teaspoon in a litre of water to spray on every week). But this year it's been so wet the spray is washed straight off. I have a thick layer of coffee grounds around mine (which are in the ground). I've picked a few snails off at night when on patrol too. Not all are fully open yet so I am hopeful of a reasonable display.

This is on the side of the path in the spinny where I walk barley. Year before last they cut down the poplar trees and now the buttercups have grown. They have planted new native trees.
