Boy its hot outside, poor hubs is out there cutting the really long hedge!!
I'm in the shade cooking some fish...think I have the better job today!!

:yikes:Definitely don't want anyone else to care for @Logan I can ensure you !! :nonofinger:
I've only ever cared for family...that's what families do.....isn't it .

My brother is physically disabled and has Alzheimer's and lives alone....goes without saying that I will do everything I can for him.

But yes I have to admit to not being good at just sitting around, found it very depressing last year when my knee/ leg was at its worst. I like to keep busy and don't like it when my body says...'no' :heehee:.

Bella's gifts I can do without @Upsydaisy ! :nonofinger: :heehee:

I haven't put anything back in place yet, I thought being in the garden making the most of the weather was more important :dunno: :spinning:

Bella was called that when we got her from the cattery. I wanted to change it to a Welsh name like we did with the previous cat but I never got around to it, and Beryl didn't speak Welsh anyway (although she understoon a bit) ... and Bella doesn't care lol she just ignores me whatever I call her :heehee:

I hope your backs are all right today @Upsydaisy and @Logan it's difficult to do things when you're in pain.

I have spent most of my life caring for people @Upsydaisy , grandparents both sides, Beryl's mother, my own parents, and then Beryl when she was disabled ... and I was also a social worker for elderly and disabled people for many years. I'm fed up now and don't want any more people to look after ... I only want to look after plants now :biggrin::biggrin:

Yes I think that's what families should do but it is not always so. You are doing well ...

No she lives in Worcester and she doesn't do forums or anything like that.

@Upsydaisy I know it will be family that you'll look after, that's what Marion does.

Oh Ok ...that's great then. :) Last I heard ( a couple of years ago now admittedly) she was having lots of hospital apps as she wasn't feeling too good. And being in her 90's........ But sounds like good news then:hapydancsmil:.

Lets keep positive and our fingers crossed that she is OK. Such a knowledgeable lady , she was still actively involved at Bristol University 's Botanic Gardens even in her late 80's!! :love30::love30:

Yes thanks @Flumpy , really loving this weather. Been out in the gardening since 8:30, too good to stay indoors. We've just had our dinner out here too!

                        Well Mother Nature has spoken!!
After heeding the warnings yesterday of the Osteoporosis in my lower spine and hip arthritis I duly medicated and rested up. I woke this morning after a good night's sleep with only the normal ' early morning twinges' and praised myself for catching it early.

Couldn't have been more wrong!! As I took a stroll around the garden first thing this morning I slowly became aware that I couldn't feel and control my spine and right leg (my current dodgy one). I must've looked as if I was very, very drunk...

Couldn't find hubs but somehow I managed to crawl back indoors, accompanied by a lot of screaming and ( ashamed to admit now) some bad language.
I didn't want to burden 111 or the 999 services, much to hubs annoyance when he found me, as what would I say.....I have bad backache/ sciatica, arthritis..?? Not exactly an emergency!!
In the end my GP' s triage team got back to me , saying that really I should've rung for an ambulance. After reassuring them that I wasn't alone they agreed to me staying put for now as long as I had someone who could collect some stronger meds straightaway.
Hubs was gone for 45 minutes and I was so scared and in agony .Giving birth 3 times without any pain relief was a doddle compared to what I experienced this morning!! I nearly phoned 999 as I feared I might have been becoming paralysed, but then I thought...if hubs wasn't back now would they get in??

Anyway I am still here and the rest of the day I have been completely zonked out and oblivious to the world... GP has checked in on me. Even now I can't walk straight, I feel like I'm floating in space...really weird sensation, but it's down to the medication this time.
Not sure what the real cause was... I haven't been lifting anything or doing heavy duty jobs out in the garden ... planting out little baby plants isn't exactly strenuous work!!
Dr said it could even be stress related . As I haven't heard back about my recent x-rays ( no news is good news) I take it that this is unrelated.

Never ,ever want to experience that again !!!
Thought I would post this before I get drugged up and sent back to La, la land again at 9pm.
