        I think one is a double and the other is a single, for some reason.
        I dont think Clematis have male and female flowers.

                It has done better than mine (which is now toast after a night at -6°c).

                          I'm lucky to have a few blooms on Salvia gesneriiflora after it caught a frost last autumn (it is a winter/spring bloomer on last years growth)............

                                Really pleased about the Kniphofia. The seeds for the original plant came from the Curator of the Denver Botanic Garden, wild collected in S. Africa. I managed to raised one plant for our new garden from the original plant too.
                                Got a lot of Salvia hians from your seed as well.
