I'd like to hope for that too @Michael Hewett but sadly judging by how it feels today that's most unlikely.At least one of the potential culprits has been eliminated but until the troublemaker has been identified, I fear things won't be easing anytime soon. With the backlog of patients waiting to be seen by consultants...I don't hold out for my appointment being any time soon.

If you're in such pain @Upsydaisy you should be seen asap, you should be on a priority list or something. It's not right to leave people in pain.
Of course there may be more urgent cases but I think even if you are only prescribed a pain relief that can't be bought over the counter, you should have some attention until you can have a 'proper' appointment.

 

Thanks again @Michael Hewett. I'm just glad not to have a DVT, so obviously not an emergency case. I'm on proper prescribed pain relief....just leaves light headed, very drowsy and a tad 'spaced out'.
Sadly there is such a backlog of patients waiting to be seen by our very overworked NHS that's there is not a lot I can do really.

I do have blood tests booked and I'm still in contact with my own GP. It's just accessing Hospital Consultants that's the problem.

Mind you if my leg continues to swell at the rate its doing now, then I will definitely have to get something done.,as at times I just can't walk.
