Good photo Pete. Catch that sun whilst it is there ... summer will be gone before it starts!

Funny you should mention the arm, it's just there for sympathy :roflol:

Bit of a long story, but last summer I got euphoria sap on it, then the sun got at It and it caused a burn that lasted two months.
Out in the sun again this year and it's burnt again.
So don't get euphoria sap on you.
      It's nasty stuff.

Blimey nasty stuff that euphorbia, I got some burns on my arms a few years back whilst weeding at the allotment it could only have been a gentle brush as I pulled it out. The burns appeared a few days later when the sun came out. I am surprised it is still affecting you a year later, can't take any chances with it though.
As kids me and a cousin used dandelion sap as war paint on our faces playing at being Red Indians. The scars disappeared quick, I think if I tried that now it would be permanent going by how my skin has aged.

@Selleri Mrs JWK bought me a few summer T Shirts and herself some summery clothes from Tu the Sainsbury's cheap brand online as neither of us have been near a shop for months.

Interesting - same shed - same company...

                    8X6 potting shed - 2020 - £589.99
                    8x6 potting shed - 2021 - £914.99

What's this all about? Covid; Brexit or profiteering?

The same mahoosive price rise for my tool shed as well - good job I purchased both sheds when they were at the lower price.

My mate went online to hire a Skip, was quoted £250 + vat. He phoned the same company and was given £156 as the price...........Why?

It was actually on the news today. A mixture of Covid (more people at home and gardening), shortage of timber late last year and early this year, coupled with the problems in the Suez Canal, higher oil prices (so increasing the price of bringing it to market) and the closure of some logging mills. Plenty of other reasons but they have all come together.

So basically problems in the Suez Canal has caused a rise in the price of potting sheds:scratch:
                        Amazing.

One of the reasons :blue thumb:. Timber was rerouted (not rerooted :heehee:) because they didn't know how long it would take to get Suez open again. That increased shipping costs.

Also, in the last few years, China had been buying up a lot of the world timber supplies (for an increased building programme) creating a shortage. It was first noticeable in the cost of fencing and didn't really hit the shed business until last year when demand massively increased because of Covid. :noidea:
