I've only just got as far as this post so haven't said anything earlier.

@Michael Hewett you can get the decking made from recycled plastic bottles. This boardwalk is made from them.

I haven't posted on this thread for a while as I've been having problems with the camera - and lack of time with gardening getting in the way! So I shall start to bore you now :heehee:

We used to have four poplars but are now down to two . The woodpeckers weren't happy as we had four families of them and they had a tree each

We have quite a variety of Weigelia dotted around the garden. They're quite showy and easy to take cuttings from. A popular seller when we open the garden.

Dark reds, dark and light pinks, almost white and many variegated ones. They grow best in full sun but aren't unhappy in deep shade.

Love Weigelia, I've got lots from cuttings too.

Only trouble is they look really manky when they 'go over' ( esp if large) a bit like Camillas and Azaleas!! Tried to deadhead them....but that's a painstaking task!!

Thanks for showing the decking @shiney I don't know what the builder has in mind but he didn't mention plastic bottles, I may have a word with him about it.
I don't know when it's going to be done, apparently materials are in short supply and very expensive.
