What is Looking Good in June 2021

Not the easiest shrubs, it's true. The 'Summer Snow' I planted in the twin border slowly fizzled out. The autopsy revealed a completely dried-out peat/peat substitute rootball, despite regular watering. You win some, you lose some.....

The Callistemon viminalis is blooming for the second time (never had repeat before) and it is marrying up with the Jacaranda mimosifolia over our gates. The Jacaranda has the biggest bloom we have ever seen,

Beautiful John. Mine have gone over quickly in the heat although I read they could take it, even though they don't get sun all day. Think I will retire them to a shady spot to recuperate for the Autumn. Perhaps better in our "cooler" months.

Thankfully yes, but we have had recent rain, so that really helped too.
I have been out most of the day slowly deadheading everything though, there was so much as I haven't had a really good session for a good few days now and it soon builds up.
