I got mine a few years ago @pete and thought it was cheaper in the chemists. Do you know a cheaper source ?

Yes, @pete told me about epsom salts a few years ago and I bought a jug of it from the drug store and super cheap it was! Tomatoes happy, Lori happy :)

Just wondering if you ask for Epsom Salts in the chemist then that is an expensive route as it is cleared for human consumption as opposed to Horticultural Epsom Salts. However if you ask for Magnesium Sulphate it's practically the same thing but cheaper.

Could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time...

Well, I think you only get a small pack in the pharmacy, but if you buy something like Chempak for garden use you get a much bigger pack for your money..

I could be wrong, not checked prices lately.

A little goes a long way so if you're using a bundle of it I'd think something is very wrong!

Get mine usually in Home Bargains. Very cheap.
Today bought 3x 1kg boxs in Morrisons for 75p each.
In the hair care etc area, fancy packaging reduced from £7.50 ! :yikes:

Hi all, after trying a few chemist's only having the paste I managed to get a kilo from Boots with 50% off! Home Bargains was next on my list as I knew they did it cheaply. 2 applications in. Will report back on progress

Hi Everybody. Any ideas about this one? It's my first attempt at growing toms in my shiny new polytunnel, and as you can see, I'm not doing very well. (In the past I've grown tomatoes outside in growbags or pots). I'm using a no-dig approach, witha good 4" layer of organic farmyard compost on top of what was previously grass. All was going well, but in the last week or so several of them (about 5 out of 17) have been hit with this problem - see pics.

The lower leaves are broadly OK, if a little curled, but the higher growth has suddenly died back, new leaves have yellowed and the top fruiting spurs have dropped all flowers & fruit. I initially suspected overwatering (dripline flow rate miscalculation!) or temperature fluctuations, but it's obviously more serious than that. Any ideas - early blight, wilt, herbicides .... etc?
