They do multiply slower outside, but they don't go away, so if it's a tender plant they survive to carry on where they left off the following year.

My Brugmansias used to be a martyr to them, even in UK. Tried the 'misting with water' approach, but it didn't help at all. Over here, the only susceptible plant is the Plumeria, but I'm ready for the little blighters this year  The Plumeria lives near the double-skin satellite dish which is one of the wasps' favourite nesting sites, so unless I get conclusive proof that wasps eat RSM, they'll all get a quick squib one evening. Same in the chicken hut....the wasps are nesting inside this year, but I'm leaving them for now to see whether they tackle the dreaded chicken mite. Working with nature..don't you just love it? :roflol:

I've never heard of wasps eating RSM, in fact apart from the predators that you have to buy, I dont think they have an enemy, well not over here anyway.

        You get wasps?
Dont think I've seen one yet this year, must have all drowned.

          It aint cheap.

First thoughts, it smells pretty much like Malathion used to.

Can anyone tell me what language that writing is on the bottle, so I can buy a phrase book.

:roflol: Oh blimey! @Nikolaos? Any Russians on here? Can't even tell if the active ingredient is cypermethrine! I do hope it works, pete, and that it's not some dodgy secret weapon that will wipe out western 'civilisation'. ;)

Its that Russian stuff that they tried to kill two Russians who were living over here with, some kind of nerve agent.
                Ended up killing someone else.

@pete found these the first looks like your label Insecticide Nurelle D 100ml | Pet Drugs Online - Free UK Delivery | Jasmi.co.uk
This second one is from Dow and tells you a bit more about it: Nurelle D, 1 liter, Dow Agro Sciences insecticide, Chlorpyrifos, Cypermethrin | Nexles Europe

It made several other people seriously ill. It happened in Salisbury a couple of years back.

Ah! Salisbury rings a bell. I'm sure pete is going to take all the necessary precautions when using the Nurelle....aren't you, pete? :blue thumb: At least you'll have a good supply of face masks  Goes without saying that we spray in the evening when the bees aren't around  Oh and yes, the wasps are a feature of life here  They've been having a rough year of it so far, with much lower than average temps, but they're doing their best :catapult:

Sorry @noisette47, I'm afraid my Russian's a tad rusty nowadays. Perhaps that's largely due to the fact that I'm half-English and half-Greek and have never known a single word of Russian! :roflol:
