Following

What does it mean when someone is following you. When I get a notification that I'm being followed it makes me feel rather uneasy.

 

Aw Michael don't be...I follow a few, but I have to admit that I do feel a bit like a stalker!!!! So I only follow if I am certain they understand the meaning of it

It just means someone finds your posts very interesting and relevant to the kind of info they are looking for.

For example you might have a particular interest or specialist knowledge in certain areas of gardening/ or of certain plants. They might even live in your area and are looking for advice on what grows well .
By following they get an alert each time you post....it's a way of making sure a post of yours isn't missed.


I only follow @Victoria ...she knows me well enough to know how nosey and harmless I am ....and I have to keep track of what she gets up to in all that sunshine!!! ..plus I love all the things she can grow..

@glengarry23 ....I love all Philips posts , not only his garden but also of the area he lives in ....stunning photography!! I know he understands as he kindly follows me too...

Then of course our beloved @wiseowl .....how could anymore not learn from such a wise one !!! ....and those roses!!!!

 

And there was me wondering why I hadn't had this problem.

I feel kind of honoured, when someone deems my posts worthy of following, so thanks @all followers .

Besides that, not a lot happens if someone is following you. It's mostly convenient to see what your favourite posters are up to. But beware, some are REALLY active so you will need a lot of time to read it all.

Yes you get an alert and they are listed on profile page....aww can't view yours you've blocked us nosey ones out .

@pete I was informed recently of a follower, I can't say I've noticed it before, but that's because I am not very observant.

I'm sorry I've blocked you @Upsydaisy, it was not intentional and I wasn't aware of it. I will unblock you if I can find out how to do it.

 

No you haven't Michael.....it's Pete's profile page I can't nosey around ....mind you mine might be the same too, I'm not techie minded...I just press buttons and cross .
