Whoa! Our government, some 125 years ago, along with the Vatican (Catholic church) oversaw the starting and running of residential schools. And the world knows what happened there!

Extract from local news site - very sad. People are entitled to choose whether to get the jab or not:

A hospital worker is pleading with people to get jabbed after two friends who refused to be vaccinated both died with COVID-19.

She says it was heartbreaking to see two people she knew refuse to take up an offer that might have saved both of their lives.

I'll be travelling through England soon and wondering whether I will need any proof of having had the vaccines. We haven't been issued with any form of proof here in Scotland. I will also have an overnight stay in a hotel and wonder whether English hotels are aware of this.

You will be OK @Sheal as no-one is checking in England. We stayed in a Hotel last week and there are no checks. In fact there is no agreed proof of vaccination here, all we have is a printed card showing when we had our jabs, but it doesn't have any personal information on it such as name nor NHS number. The so called Covid passport ID is still being argued about and probably will never happen.

Thanks John. :) We weren't issued with a card, the only proof would come from a doctor.

Our card is nothing more than a printed slip with the date, make and batch number hand written. We have been told to carry it with us but without a name it could belong to anyone so is useless as proof. I found a blank card by googling:

I wonder if your name should be written on the top line? It's still no proof it was issued to you though as you say.

I missed that! I could write mine on afterwards, but not much point as no-one will ever ask to see it.

I get the feeling that the card was only issued as proof of the first vaccination so that they know which vaccine to use second time.

You just then keep it for future reference.
There is no point in the UK coming up with any kind of official vaccine passport until an international one is agreed, but even then I doubt it will be needed in the UK.

We have similar Pfizer cards and our names are written on them.

We have just been to WIMBLEDON tennis and we had to show proof of two jabs via the NHS app.
                          Hardly any masks were worn.

The tube train was heaving but masks were worn by everyone....If we don’t get COVID it will be a miracle.

We could get pinged by nhs......and we are home testing every other day.
But we wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
A bit of normality.........we are going to have to learn to live with it.

                            @roders

It's great to do something like that, lucky you getting tickets to Wimbledon. I tried in their ticket lottery in the past but never got any.

Interesting, that's the first I heard of that. I just downloaded it and it actually works! It's got my two jabs and a QR/bar code so it's the proof I am up to date. It has my medical history on there too :sick0026:
