Right, so I'm being followed by a full-time forum stalker and a teenage girl that doesn't actually exist.

    PERFECTLY NORMAL FOLLOWERS, THEN.

@Upsydaisy Fat Controller said this :-
'we linked this account with another that was banned from GC in the latter part of last year, for very similar behaviours'
so they could be the same person, both seem to have been deleted.

Hi folks I'm stepping in here to help.

Firstly the user Flat1 was banned a few weeks ago but managed to 'Follow' a few of us including me, @Upsydaisy @Nikolaos and @NigelJ. I will investigate how to remove that Following from your profiles, I have had a quick look and nothing obvious jumps out at me, I need to enlist other staff members as to the best way to do this.

Secondly we left the photo on here as a warning, I think it has served its purpose.

Please bear with me whilst I sort this out.

I discovered from what JWK said that was deleted a few weeks ago so can't be the same, sorry, it was just a guess. I usually put 2 and 2 together and make 5 !

Perhaps she could be photo shopped out, looks like that's how she got there in the first place.
Then Nick will get a clearer view of the hostas.

Indeed @Michael Hewett putting 2 and 2 together will almost always result in 5 when you don't have all of the information to hand and in fact a very good example of why we ask you to report things to us but also to put your faith in us that we have and will take appropriate action, but need everyone to understand that you won't always see the result of our actions. Indeed, I would suspect that @JWK and @Loofah have had something of an eye-opener in recent weeks as they are now seeing what goes on behind the scenes.

                        Just to clarify:
                        • Someone following you (or you following someone) does not link you in any way with that person. It does not give them any additional ability to see or interact with your posts.
                        • Following someone is generally a complimentary thing; when someone follows you, it will simply display 'People who follow you' separated out from the main list with their avatar in the 'Users Online Now' pane on the main forum list
                        • If a person has been banned, a line will appear through their username; this means that they cannot post, edit posts, send PM's, adjust their account or view images. If they happen to try and visit, and their PC still has their account logged in, it may show them as being online in the 'Users Online' pane with a line through their username.

The account that we linked to this one was NOT Flat 1, nor am I in a position to disclose which the other banned account was I'm afraid - please have faith that if you have someone following you that has been banned, that is it, they cannot contact you in any way.

Staff hat off, and personal hat on...

Kik seems to be an utterly toxic app in many ways, not least that it seems to be a cesspit for perversion/paedophilia. I would strongly advise you have nothing to do with it and if you have children in your family do everything you can to keep them away from it as well.
Other apps such as TikTok, Instagram and even Twitter are safer but not entirely safe - it is up to us as adults to police what our youngsters are doing online.

Oh, and if you are into Kik or kiddy-fiddling, then I want nothing more to do with you.

Well done admin, obviously the question asked was to try and find out who was more likely to have a few bob in the bank! I have only just looked at this thread and immediately thought something was a bit amiss until reading further and seeing what had been discovered. Would not be surprised if the you know whats behind this are foreign as the child’s clothes don’t look like those worn by children here.
Nick re the Hostas. I grow a huge number and have Hostas very similar if not identical to those in the photo. People tend to only think of Hostas as foliage plants whereas, especially the plain green Hostas have very pretty ( some scented) flowers. My plain green leafed Hostas far out grow and flower more profusely than the variegated ones due to being able to photosynthesise much better than their variegated cousins.
Unfortunately I understand there is a national shortage of Hostas due to their slow growing nature and Covid encouraging over 3 million new gardeners! So their price is bound to rise.
If ever you are up my way you would be more than welcome to a good chunk of mine but we do not live close to each other. I would suspect most plain green Hostas which have not been too “ fiddled with” by the breeders will be vigorous and flower well. Also in my experience while Hostas prefer it damp I have green Hostas underneath a huge Cedrus Atlantica Glauca which is extremely dry and shaded. Ok they are not as happy as in other spots in the garden but cope extremely well as good ground cover. Few other plants would survive where they do.

Aw, thanks for the kind offer @hailbopp, it's the thought I appreciate! :) Your post actually managed to reply to a question I hadn't even gotten round to asking yet, so I must congratulate you on your psychic abilities! :heehee: I was thinking a variegated version of the ones in the photos might look even nicer but now I know they're not as floriferous I'll go with the plain green-leaved type if I find something similar. :blue thumb:

Thanks again for all the info, always love finding out more about new genera!

Thanks very much for that link Nigel, always nice to know of a specialist grower with a large selection! :dbgrtmb:
