A hot day for walking all round the reserve today but a breeze from the North was welcome, 26c.

 

The sunshine continues here but it's been quite windy today. 24C/75F

Sunny, light breeze, 22c going to 34c. Going to friends for lunch and they are high near the sea so maybe cooler there.

We are ok here - on the top of a hill (yes, there are a few in Belgium!), and so no rivers nearby. The towns nearby have not fared so well, with extensive flooding in Braine le Comte, just 10 miles away…
(Our house does sometimes “leak”, but that’s with torrential cloudbursts, of which we have had a few in the last couple of months. Then the water comes in under the front door, and also through the original walls into the kitchen (slightly below ground level there). We think the overflow of the rainwater tank is blocked somehow, as the lid of the tank also comes off during these storms…)

 

High of 28C today. Keep cool!

 

I remembered you were on a hill but so pleased to hear you are safe and unharmed although those not are a little too close for comfort.
