    Hi,

    Many thanks Logan; very much appreciated. I've been incredibly busy and still am. Being a mechanical engineer I've been posting on three other forums with regards to my projects; one of the forums is this;

    Blown my welder up.

I've been arc welding for around 55 years but had never tried Mig or Tig welding; I wanted to weld aluminium which is very difficult indeed so my lovely wife treated me to tig welding equipment which is expensive and with the help of forum members I overcame every problem thrown at me so now I can weld aluminium; I'm never too old to stop learning and like to keep busy.

Excellent weather Logan for dog walking. :yahoo:

    Kind regards, Colin.

Sitting here just sweating, the rain that came yesterday has been evaporating quickly in the sun this morning and created the real feeling of the tropics.
      It's 27c 80f and humid.

It is 30c and very still, the sky looks hazy and it is uncomfortable to just sit and admire the garden, let alone physically do anything. The cottage is cool (without air conditioning and lights). I pity the guys (friend Andy and two of his sons) painting our cottage, there is a lot of gasping. They will be packing it in shortly.

No it's too hot for them in the afternoon so have to wait till about 6pm. There's a lot more shade from the trees.
At the moment it's sunny with a light wind from the east north east temp 32c
After tomorrow it should be 25c

Just imagine what that is like for dog taken for a walk in the middle of the day. :yikes:

It would be cruel to take a dog out walking in this. My cat disappears for hours and I can understand why.

Cloud is bubbling up and it's got warmer ..34C and very muggy. I'm sat outside reading but I've had to stop as I can feel the start of a headache, The sun is still breaking through a lot so still not sure if we will eventually get the forecast thunderstorms.

Somewhere between 27c and 30c today depending on which forecast you look at! A few clouds appearing now but no thunderstorms or any rain until Saturday (that will probably change!) but still a hot day.

                        Hi,

Good point and very valid Logan; I shouldn't want any animal to suffer in any way. Perhaps a walk on the beach up here would be a good way of cooling for dogs.

Three Yorkshire beaches ranked among the best in UK for dogs

This rare hot weather won't last in fact I'm surprised it reached Yorkshire but I love it; it's the cold miserable wet black holes I dislike which are the norm for us.

                        Kind regards, Colin.

As half expected no thunderstorms...full sunshine and down to a 30C reading on the shaded kitchen patio wall.

That's why i take them out later and the fact that they have thick coats. But barley would go out in it, but i don't take him.But dogs paws are different to human feet.
