Hello everyone, I trust you are all keeping reasonably well that is all we can ask for as we get older. I have to go for a DVLA visual field eye test on the 2nd August and I am hoping that the expensive capsules I bought from the states have dissolved my two cataracts and fingers crossed I pass the test. My eyes certainly seem better and a lot of flotsam is coming out of them. I do so want to be able to drive my little car again. I have taxed and insured her but only Steve can drive her at the moment but I need that because of my lack of mobility. I cannot climb up into his van it is too high for me.

That sounds like my car, I've had it a year this week-end and it has never been cleaned, inside or out. I keep meaning to do it but never get around to it, but I think as long as it goes that's the main thing

 

Morning everyone, hope you're all feeling a tad more comfortable now the temps have dropped a bit.

Our car is old....a limited millennium edition Toyota, but has never caused an ounce of trouble...sails through it's mot, hubs has always cared and maintained all our cars well. He keeps both inside and outside spotless...and has never visited a carwash!!

Morning all, I’ve got to say I Hoover & polish the inside of my car and wash the outside and wax it at least once a year, I always check the oil, water and windscreen, my dad used to have classic cars which he used in shows, he taught us things about the engine and taught me & my brother how to keep them shining

Moyra I’m wishing you all the luck, my dad is having his other eye done tomorrow only takes 15 mins then eye drops for a few weeks, my mum doesn’t even need glasses now woohoo

Good morning everyone, went to bed at 1am but can't sleep as all my joints are playing up terribly tonight so decided it was time to get up.

Hubs is a stickler for keeping the car clean ,inside and out , and I must admit I don't like getting into a dusty/ dirty car . Hate getting into taxis....always end up feeling unclean for some reason.

Suppose to have an OK ish day to day so if I have the energy I hope to get out in the garden and do a few outstanding chores.

My car doesn't get much use these days, since Beryl died I don't feel like going anywhere so it doesn't really become dirty. I suppose I'll clean it when I can get around to it but I'm not bothered about a few specks of dust.
One neighbour took me to the hospital when B was in and that's a car you would not like getting into @Upsydaisy - empty cans and wrappers all over the floor and dog hair all over the seats. I felt unclean after coming home
