Can you believe it, after condemning the government for relaxing covid rules too early, for the last couple of months , mister bandwagon, Starmer, is now condemning them for not relaxing the isolation early, in England, as they are in Wales.

      From RT news :-

The UK government is cooperating with major food delivery companies such as Uber and Deliveroo to offer discounted fast foods for young people who get vaccinated against Covid-19.
According to the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), Uber and its takeaway delivery service Uber Eats, as well as rival food delivery service Deliveroo, chain restaurant Pizza Pilgrims, and the ride-hailing platform Bolt, are involved with the plan.

The DHSC announced on Sunday that the companies "will be offering discounts and incentives to customers who get a Covid-19 vaccine and help protect the country from the virus," as it continues in its plan "to further drive uptake in young people."
      -------- ---------- ---------- ------------ ---------- --------------

What an agonising choice for the under 30´s - do they eat proper food, stay healthy and help the NHS, or do they scoff cheap discounted crap, abuse their bodies, and help Boris ?
I´m sure the Health Secretary will give us wise advice.

I might sue the government over this as I was not granted the same when I was coerced into taking the vaccine.

Some companies are favoured, some are not.
There´s probably no way of finding out, but my guess is that the favoured companies are all part of the same vast global conglomerate, with appropriate "lobbying" power not available to single companies. This favouritism may be a pointer to which companies are under the umbrella of the conglomerate.

I had an 'interesting' chat with a Belgian woman this weekend, and learned a lot about the 'nobody's going to vaccinate me' viewpoint. She's 55, fit and healthy and doesn't believe that the vaccines were thoroughly tested before being used, so thinks it will do more harm than good. (Must admit she's got a point there). But.....she's preparing to live like a hermit for x number of years, being shunned by the vaccinated and unable to go where she wants, when she wants. Not to mention being unable to access medical care should she need it. The fact that she, and her fellow anti-vaccers, are prolonging this nightmare for all of us seemed to escape her completely. A tad selfish? This has nothing to do with not being able to be vaccinated for valid medical reasons!

Her reasoning sounds emotional and her plan is unworkable.
I wonder why people come to this position, could it be that their disillusion and disappointment regarding politics and things in general have become so intense that vaccinations become "the last straw" and they take "safety" in an extreme position ?
Obviously her position is irrational, but given the state of the world I would not like to defend the argument that we are a rational species.

There is also the thought that many people distrust authority and would rather believe a complete stranger with no qualifications on social media instead, it's not a modern thing, people have been swayed for centuries, as Daniel Defoe described in his Journal of The Plague year 1665:

"With what blind, absurd, and ridiculous stuff these oracles of the devil pleased and satisfied the people I really know not, but certain it is that innumerable attendants crowded about their doors every day. And if but a grave fellow in a velvet jacket, a band, and a black coat, which was the habit those quack-conjurers generally went in, was but seen in the streets the people would follow them in crowds, and ask them questions as they went along."
