I agree, I've got one exactly the same but not flowering yet. It's late this year.

Oh, is that the Blue Hibiscus, Alyogyne Huegelii? I planted some seeds earlier this year and nothing germinated. It is prettier than I thought. Maybe I will get more seeds. Thank you Nick.

Not my area, but I think it's a 'true' Hibiscus, a syriacus cultivar. :):dunno:

It's not the same @Victoria, this one is Hibiscus syriacus . It grows quite tall, mine is about 7 ft tall and the same wide.

That's why I tend to use the botanical names.

I do, when I can remember them, but I can't remember the common names half the time.

There is a very large flowered variety of H. syriacus around these days, but can't remember the name.

@Victoria, Hibiscus s Bluebird. It suddenly burst into flower this morning more than treble yesterday's, shame they only last a day!

I think they call them Chiffon Pete.

I have just ordered these seeds from Italy ...

                        Hibiscus syriacus, Canary Orange

But I am wondering if it is because of the leaves.

I am also getting these seeds from Portugal ...

It is superb Strongy. Love the last photo ... another Osteo? I am all into Orange at the moment, liking it with strong pinks. I couldn't get either Orange Osteo or Lampranthus.

Fantastic selection of plants, @pete! Have often thought of growing leycesteria but it's just too brief-flowering for my small garden, I think. Perhaps I can find a longer-flowering cultivar at some point, the flowers are gorgeous... :)
