This is the official Gov covid reporting site. It gives figure for positive tests, hospitalisations and the main one deaths. Figures are a lot higher than early summer when it was virtually zero, then type D kicked in. Figures are pretty steady now but quite high. Just waiting for type "E" now !!!

I did hear them come up with a figure of how many of the cases in the last year, actually caught covid in hospital, it was quite a lot.
So presumably they were admitted for other things and became a statistic in the process.

I know someone who's brother was in the hospital last winter, in a semi private room. The fellow in the other bed kept coughing and coughing. And sure enough, it was COVID and was passed on to the brother. Who then got very sick and died.

Just makes you wonder what kind of people are graduating from medical schools!

Saw something on the tele. the other day - a guy was saying that in non Covid-19 times more deaths are caused by flu - in comparison to where we are now. This years flu season is going to be bad - he reckons - because we have not built up any kind of flu immunity due to social distancing.

I have previously shrugged off the idea of having a flu jab - not anymore - I'll be stepping forward for my first ever flu jab this year.

Had my first flu jab last year.
They obviously work as I didn't get flu.

Mind you I have never had flu, I've had bad colds but never the flu.

I started having the flu jab 8 years ago on the recommendation of the GP due to having a heart attack, I normally get the jab to coincide when I go for my annual check up, blood pressure etc etc.

A (double jabbed) tradesperson due to carry out some work at a vulnerable friends house this week developed a summer sniffle, thought it odd and had a Covid test which came back positive.

I see that Parliament was heaving yesterday - whilst Boris received a roasting from all sides. Only a couple of MP's wearing face masks.

From the look of things people haven't 'ripped the pants' out of the easing of restrictions. Most people are doing what they think is right. We must have achieved herd immunity by now.

This is probably the closest were going to get to 'normal' - whatever 'normal' is.
