Glad to hear the fire situation is improving @Victoria. And hat's off to those volunteers working to get it under control - brave people! Meanwhile British Columbia is still in a state of emergency with no sign of rain to help at the moment. My daughter's road access to work is virtually cut off with a wildfire alongside. The road is still open to vehicles at the moment and she is still using it along with others.

Here at home it's been mostly cloudy again with a chilly breeze blowing. 15C/59F

Yes, the fire is resolved. No fatalities, one Fireman injured. However, an illegal dog shelter was destroyed and all 14 dogs died. It must have been terrifying for them. I believe criminal charges are in the making against two women.

It's a grey start to the day here but less windy than yesterday, so doesn't feel as cool. Rain forecast for this afternoon.

What rubbish August weather ! Cold dark and gloomy

 

Thank you Blue arbour. Fortunately the fire was in the "mato" scrubland but also part of a forest in the hills where access is difficult. Habitation is sparse. August is always a dodgy month.
