@Michael Hewett ,..it can be interesting indeed,..finding a plant i left in a pot for planting in the soil can be a nightmare finding it :wallbanging:

Well spotted seeing that wee dog,..she appears when i just click the camera,..it used to bother me but i gave up trying to keep her hidden.

Interesting you also have the same tradition with the Seasons.

Interesting seeds, they look like pearls ...

Does Musk Mallow spread in your garden ? I have been trying to eradicate it from mine because it has become a nuisance, coming up like weeds.

Hi Michael,..here i am trying to keep two bunches of Musk Mallow going each year and finding it difficult,..none have self seeded so i cut off green sections of the stems pot them for the following year,..perhaps the birds eat any seeds dropped after the plant blooms,..someone asked me the same question years ago and i presumed things would change,..its weird,..no change :)

Ah yes those Peruvian Lily seeds to look like pearls,..even shiny as well.

Cut back to the soil today all the Delphiniums,..filled the spaces with potted plants from the other areas.
              7.jpg

Lupins are still to be cut back,..however before this i will cut off shoots that are on the stems to use as cuttings,..this works 100% of the time.

Hard to see the far end corner as behind the rockery the Lace Hydrangeas have to be see closer up.

I didn't know you could take cuttings of Lupins that way, I thought of sowing some seeds for next year, and then I think I'll try taking cuttings from them.
I often sow the seeds but they usually die off.

I will take an image tomorrow of the spot you cut on the stem,..its like another plant has started to grow just off the stem and it will remain like this up to next Spring,..even then it remain for some time longer.

@Michael Hewett ,..i didn't forget to capture the images of the cuttings spot.

First images show the location,..cut just below the new growth,..next images are another two cuttings ready for dipping in Rooting Powder or Rooting Gel,..some gardeners don't bother doing with the Rooting Stuff,..if you happen to use it,..water the soil in the pot first,..poke a hole in the soil,..dip the cutting in the Rooting Stuff,.. and insert the cutting,..always water the soil first as if you use Rooting Stuff and then afterwards add the water,..it just washes off :)

One can use this same method with Foxgloves,..after blooming some stems are like below,..this one will give three cuttings,..to be taken now.
                      4.jpg

Sorry about the small images :wallbanging:,..don't know what happened there :)

I have never had a White Foxglove,..so far i have all other colours,..i will save cutting from the one below as its big and white and blooming today.
