    Well done @Upsydaisy :yay:

If I may suggest... this little gadget shortens the window drying time considerably.

Agree though that those sqeegees are brilliant, I always use to use them until we bought one of these about 4 years ago.:dbgrtmb:

People who do that must have a mental problem if she thinks that she looks better and her mother and friends should have their eyes tested.

I wonder who the professional was who agreed to this. That is even more shocking. The doc is supposed to have ethics and should not have done it!

We had a wagon delivering some packaging to us today. On opening the curtains a pallet full of 500ml cans of Stella Artois came crashing off the wagon. The haulage company sent out a transit van to clear up the mess. I was absolutely gutted, not only did I offer to clean up the mess, I was begging..:roflol:

                      How very Posh!!! :wub2:

When we moved into this house our window cleaner didn't move with us so I bought a gadget pretty much like this and felt very clever.

The result: The upper floor windows outside sides are miserable for 364 days a year, and miserable with greyish streaks for the rest of the year.

At least the neighbours have a fun day when they watch me trying to aim a 5m bendy pole against the glass in a good angle, meaning me backing into hedges, roses and other things conveniently placed in the appropriate range and squeal when the water runs down my arms and splashes on my face.

Probably the local youngsters are top of their class at school when Pythagoras gets discussed, I believe they spend hours calculating the optimal angle for my efforts and place bets if I ever crack the nut on how to clean my home office window above a fixed awning in a tight space between the garage and the house. ;)

I might just have to swallow my pride and have a little talk with the local window cleaners. But NOT until my gadget has paid itself back!

At least you attempt to do your upstairs ones.....

We have 24 windows, a glass porch and two patio doors....my brain won't allow me to get a window cleaner...they charged £85 to clean a small area of fascia !! God knows what we would be billed for all the windows as well.
                        I'm a tight ******!!

Every so often Hubs sets up our scaffolding tower...then the upstairs ones get done. :dbgrtmb:

A Kaercher gadget and a personal scaffolding you can put up as you wish... :love30: You are living the dream, Upsy! :heehee:

Our previous window man was a real treasure. He was the local Neighbourhood Social Media on legs with add-on window cleaning properties. He knew exactly whose kids had grown out of their bikes and would love to have the one ours grew out of, arranged reliable handymen, lads or materials as needed and in general kept things going smoothly. For £6 biweekly clean that's a super bargain. :)

All grey market, uninsured and no tax paid, but it just worked so well. I'm ashamed to say that as it goes against my principles but there you go. Principles fly away when convenience walks in and presents itself in a pleasant manner.

My ops are booked for 22 and 29 Sept. Not looking forward to it, (ha) but the prospect of no more contact lenses or specs is very appealing

@noisette47 I was pushing to get mine. Contacts during the day, glasses at night. Blech. Had that since I was eleven.

The only nervous moment I had was at the very beginning of the procedure when they first go in.

After that, it was okay. I did have some nasty eye pain (only until I went to sleep the first night, gone in the morning) but it could be that it was because my corrective lenses were a pretty high strength. I had less than 10/20 in one eye and the other darn near that.

Mine were one week apart too. Weird that week. Using only one contact and having to pop one lense from my eyeglasses.

But I felt sooooo free!!! Use the drops as prescribed. It's important.

@Selleri I use a robotic cleaner on the outside of my upper windows. Worth the money because I am frightened of heights.
