    I sorted out a few pkts of seeds yesterday that I want to sow today before I knuckle down to other tasks.

    I feel happier digging up plants if I know I have some replacements waiting in the wings.:blue thumb:

            Good morning Upsydaisy, it’s glorious sunshine here and not a cloud in the sky, as it’s our last day off we are going to have breakfast out then chill and enjoy the sunshine :yes:. meal was nice last night, I had for starters king prawn with peppers in a chilli sauce on a bed of mixed salad then Polla all’s crema which is chicken breast in mushroom & white wine sauce with roast potatoes & caramelised carrots and green beans followed by hot chocolate fudge cake and chocolate ice cream yummy…….anyone hungry ?:)

              So just a snack then! :whistle: :roflol:

              My back has eased up and di some mowing yesterday and hope to do more today - but I shall take it easy.

              We have some Zooms that will give me breaks ( a mixed bunch of relatives in the UK, Israel, five parts of the U.S., Brazil, Oz and NZ).

              I think I may get a takeaway tonight. Depends on how I feel. :)

                      I spent a large part of yesterday clearing/tidying the shed. :phew:

                      Mowing shall be the second job today after binning the weeds and dead/cut down plants that are lying around at the bottom end of the garden. I'm pleased our wheelie bins have wheels :heehee: as I can wheel them all the way down there and load them. It's much more ergonomic than loading into wheel barrows and then spilling a lot of it as I try to get it into the bins.

                        Hi everyone, first day back to work, my supervisor is crying coz the Manager and boss won’t listen when we say we need more staff for the work load we are doing……wish I was still on holiday :sad: . the managers answer to my supervisor was ho well the works gotta be done :yikes:

                            I've been hibernating indoors when it gets too hot but doing the gardening early. Sarafi is very unhappy with the heat. He hides under shrubs most of the time but if we are in the summerhouse he comes crying to be let in to cool down in the aircon. We don't allow him in our house but he has his own cushion in the summerhouse and goes straight to it after coming for cuddles. :cat-kittyandsmiley: At14 years old he is noticeably slowing down now (I know the feeling :heehee:) but still has his mad moments.

                            If the dew clears enough before it gets too hot I shall do some mowing. It really needs it and we have guests at the weekend.

                              Morning everyone !:)

                              Lots to do today, plants to move and bulbs waiting to be planted.
                              Didn't want to dig anywhere during this extreme dry spell and cause unnecessary disturbance to nearby planting causing them more distress than they are enduring now in our baked soil/ clay.
                              Hopefully we will get rain and also thunder this evening....so they could be in for a treat!!:biggrin::yes:

                                Food delivery correct and all stored away. :)

                                We didn't receive any of the promised rain, nor thunder and lightning, so selective watering needed today. There was a sudden strong wind yesterday afternoon (nothing to do with the butter beans mentioned in another thread) and it blew over all our pots with 7ft high cosmos :rolleyespink:. Note to self:- if wind is picking up then water pots heavily to stop them being blown over.

                                Our library is closed until May for a refit! That is the big central library in the big new town nearby. I wanted to phone the library in the Old Town to see whether I can use that instead. I could only get through to the County number but they were helpful (answer was yes). There was an interesting comment, at the end of the conversation, from the man. He said 'You're very calm and polite'. :scratch: Maybe they have been getting irate calls about the main library intending to close for nine months.
