I tried to smoke a mackerel on the barbeque, it turned out pretty good, surprisingly.

Me too @noisette47 ! I pictured lips to lips, zippo to tail. Until I read, "on the barbecue". :heehee:

I only pressure cooked crabapples and now have nine cups of juice to use, later, for jelly. Thrilled with that. :)

Very easy as too hot and wet after helping wash more windows.

Pizza, homemade spicy wedges ( too be honest I was a tad heavy handed with the spices! ) I've methamorphosed into a fire spitting creature( won't say dragon..but hubs might!!;)) and salad. :) IMG_20210907_123921.jpg

That's two meals for me ... and I'd have less o the spices. For me, one cup of baked beans on one piece of toast.

It's only half a medium pizza and a handful of wedges, the salad fills half the plate!!
We did work up a bit of an appetite from cleaning the windows and then sweeping all 3 patio areas this morning and we do have our breakfast by 7am.:)

We only have a light tea around 6:30pm, hubs either has a round of sandwiches or a couple of slices of toast but I limit my bread intake so it's either rye crackers ( like Ryvita) or unsalted rice crackers with Marmite or mashed banana.

We certainly can't be said to overeat, :dbgrtmb:

I can say it's not the most healthiest of meals, but we were both feeling the temp today after our workout!!...so decided on easy. :dbgrtmb:

That is acceptable then. Haven't a clue what we are having for dinner, usually around 7,30pm. Maybe something chickeny.

Did you think that was our lunch then???:yikes: No ,we always have our main meal around 12:30 and then after our light tea we don't eat anything else until breakfast the following day.

Chickeny sounds good , my fave meat..in fact apart from fish that's mostly all we eat.:dbgrtmb:

We only eat lunch (often breakfasty like cereal or eggs) and dinner. Just tea and a biscuit/cereal bar at 8am and tea and a biscuit/piece of fruit at 3pm. Peanuts and a drink at 5ish. That's all me, T'other Half is not so good but not awful either.

I must be mad cooking when it's so hot:mad: the Kitchen is like an oven:yikes:

This is only the second time I've had to have the fan on to try and cool the Kitchen.

Yes I can imagine that the heat has an impact on your appetite too.

We tend not to eat inbetween meals ,unless we have visitors then the biscuit barrel comes out. Have to say my brother is the worse..you would think he'd never seen one before!!:roflol:

We never have a cooked breakfast, I alternate between a small bowl of either Shreddies, Shredded Wheat ( cub sized) All Bran or Bran Flakes ( have to keep regular:blue thumb::roflol:)all of which are topped with fruit.

This just confirms my nosiness....love hearing what others eat !!

For breakfast hubby has 2 shredded wheat and some muesli with a dessert spoon of oat bran and ground flaxseed, with fully skimmed milk. I have porridge with oatbran and bran, a dessert spoon of oatbran and flaxseed. Then there's loads of fruit on top of that. We have that at 5.45am.and there's the half grapefruit each, usually the red one but the white and the pink are good too.

At around 9am hubby has a small piece of jam tart with a bit of mixed compote.

At around 11am hubby has a banana and I have a banana and apple.

At 3pm we have the main meal and nothing else after until the morning.

Even I would get a bit hungry later on. I eat nor drink after 8-9pm. What time do you go to bed. We have " lights out" at 11pm-ish.
