Hello Woo. What are the bark chippings for, to keep weeds at bay? It looks nice and neat. I put them down once in Buckinghamshire around a Rhododendrum but I ended up with all kinds of bugs in it. :hate-shocked:

Good morning @Victoria my friend its just to keep the bottom half of the garden looking tidy and low maintenance as the top half is my wildlife garden which is enough work keeping the balance between looking as if its running wild but under control ;)which has been a great success this year as I have seen many more butterflies birds ,slow worms ,hedgehogs now all residing in the garden:smile:

aproveite o seu dia meu amigo:smile:

Finally replaced the base boards with the machined logs, just need a line of pavers around the edge so I can mower instead of hand cutting the grass edge. I making good time but everyone and his dog wanted to phone and chat pfft.

@Logan If that is a public pathway, if it is, then that makes a wonderful change from fences and walls :)

Yes it's a public pathway and thank you.
It was all grass when we moved in and we planted the roses first.

@Logan wouldn't be nice is every road was lined with plants like yours is, people must drive past and wonder if they have entered another world, local council should give you an award for it :)

Thank you and yes when I've been out there and people who were passing has said how nice it looked compared with the garden opposite side and the other gardens that only have grass or they pave it all over to put their cars on.

It does look fantastic Logan but are you legally allowed to plant on it or pave it?

In Buckinghamshire we had to get a license to plant outside our boundary.

No it's our garden and people do that with theirs. It's all open plan around here if that's what's confusing.:)
