I run them under hot water to soften/loosen them. I think they make them to harden after first use!

On the subject of super glue - I only recently found out about CA glue with accelerator.

It's super glue - but if you spray with the accelerant - it cures immediately.

Comes in larger plastic bottles - not these small metal tubes - and in different viscosities - so you can, if you want, use it as a filler or as a wood finish.

Well worth keeping a supply in the tool chest.

This is the stuff I use:

Man exposed himself to worker at Burlington pet store: Cops

Now what kind of idiot goes into a store full of creatures and does that!:heehee:

I do feel sorry if it was a young person working in there though... hope a tarantula scared him too!

All we need now is for the government to issue ration books early in the new year.

Think I've still got one somewhere. It must be with my petrol coupons and green shield stamps. :dunno:

Ok you have got me on ration books and petrol coupons but I remember only too well being given the task of sticking multitudinous green shield flaming stamps into books for my Mum. My tongue would be like a badger’s backside by the time I has waded through the amount she’d got from doing the family shop:hate-shocked:.

I'm curious as to how you have had experiences with a badger's backside. :yikes:

We never had that many stamps as the majority of the food was bought fresh from greengrocers, butchers, bakers, etc.

I only remember them from the Co-op certainly not the little shops. Guess things were/are different in London.

Green shield stamps were nationwide, I only ever filled up at petrol stations that did them. There was competition as some stations offered double stamps, then quadruple. I got my first set of gardening tools, spade, fork and trowel with them.

The co-op stamps were not green shield, they were a form of dividend. As the name co-operative implies they shared all their profits with their customers.

I moved to America in 1963 when I left school so maybe they became more widespread as I know our butcher, the vegetable market stall didn't give them, and I don't even remember Sainsbury's did. In our Sainsbury's you bought eggs loose (brown or white and took your own carton, bacon was sliced off the thing that hung up behind the counter, and butter was chopped off with wooden paddles and shaped in nano seconds. Ah, those were the days!
