Yesterday, garden compost dug into new bed, sloes and damsons picked for fruit gin. More tidying.
Today make list of seeds I have and what I need to buy. Vegetables, annuals etc. More interesting stuff comes later.

Not sure yet all depends on the weather.

Going out in a moment to continue digging up tender plants for overwintering. Weather doesn't look very promising for later...so the sooner I'm out there the better.:dig:

Forecast is rain all day so going to town instead!
Later I'm planning on getting all my seeds together and binning the ones seriously out of date. I had a lot of germination issues this year so finally have to admit I need new seeds. Some are 15 years over...

IMG_20211002_091553.jpg Dug up another lot of Pelargoniums . Despite the rain typically turning up after I had dug them up I have managed to lightly trimmed them and get them all in their Winter homes. Just done a quick look around and as far as I can see there are about another 15 ,but I expect some are lurking under some of the other plants.
Once they're done.....might be able to dodge the really heavy rain that's predicted:fingers crossed:,
I will hopefully start on all the tender Fuchsias. IMG_20211002_100531.jpg

It's heavy rain so nothing today, maybe tomorrow.

I had to work in the rain. It wasn't raining this morning when I went to the garden centre. It waited until I got everything out to start working. By that stage there was no point putting it all away again. I'm glad I got the job done. With the nights pulling in, it is essential to make the most of the weekends.

It looks great Jack and first impressions count at the front door. Is that a Norfolk Island Pine or Monkey Puzzle Tree? I like your Tin Men.

Decided to make a dash in the really heavy rain and dig up the remaining Pelargoniums , dived undercover and got them all sorted out and potted up. All done now

                    Fuchsias next...

@Victoria and @Upsydaisy Thank you for your kind words. I have recently started paying into a plant pot fund. That way there will be money available to pay for the pots when I want them. As shops have a tendency to discontinue pot ranges without notice, I was determined that this time I would not be caught out. I'm going to return the smaller box at the back and swap it for a larger one. That will, come spring, give my aster a new permanent home.

I'm not exactly sure what the tree is. Something like Normandia Spruce possibly. I paid a reasonable price for it about 3 years ago. I'm pleased how healthy it is looking.

The tin men were a present for a birthday or Christmas. I can't remember when. They are novel. They definitely look better with the wooden barrels than they did with the plastic terracotta pots.

                          G.

The heavy rain is still coming down so I'm tucked up on the sofa with the fire on and a Leffe brun :) Winter is coming...

Earlier in the garage I managed to complete re-finishing an old coffee table / chest that we're going to use in the kitchen and put a couple of sofas either side. Should be nice if we ever get round to it!

Baking soil. All day. My pots, hanging 14, floor style 18, small ones for seedlings, 140 or so, are now all ready for the spring. I wanted to get this done today because rain is forecast for the next 5 days.

And discovered my primula is in flower again. And being eaten again. Think it's rabbits
