Thank you @Victoria yes it went well, it was just like going to the opticians, having the drops put in I didn't have trouble with blurred vision, infact my vision has improved but i don't know how long that will last and it's going to be on the 21st of this month to have it done.
So I better get into the garden tomorrow and try to do as much as i can.

So glad to hear that you're on your way to getting your eyes done @Logan !

I spent my day chasing my own tail. At least it felt that way. Lots of paperwork to do that kept getting more complicated but finally done.

Then I went shopping and gambling. Got some groceries, including a turkey and my lottery ticket. Ever hopeful Lori...

I haven't set foot out back yet but will do that now and then I'm going to sit with a nice little red wine spritzer and enjoy a sigh of relief :)

There's a way of winning sometimes with the lottery, just take a note of the numbers that come up frequently and see how often, I wone £10 once but I don't bother anymore.

There is no shortage of turkeys over here. Not the fowl or human kind! So getting one was easy - and getting it on offer was wonderful!

I figure if nothing else, when I get a lottery ticket, I get a week's worth of great day dreams about what I could do for my family. And after that some great stuff for me. Keeps my brain active thinking good thoughts.

Today I've got to go back out to the shops to pick up what I forgot to get yesterday- :doh:but I have entered everything into my phone shopping app so that I will have my list with me this time. Lots of our stores "price match" so when I have a copy of a competitors ad for a better price on an item, I can simply show it to the checkout person and they adjust the price :blue thumb: I never do that though when there is a lineup behind me because it does take a few moments more time and it would be rude to hold people up to save a few cents.

And when I get back, the pole saw is coming out so a branch on my crabapple tree can be lopped off. It is spreading over the fence at the side and also starting to block the satellite dish.

It is already 68f out there so a good day to prance around without a jacket :)

Booked up for another live theatre broadcast - this time from the Bristol Old Vic. It's a modern interpretation of Wuthering Heights.

Pleased to see that the theatre is using Ticketco to broadcast the performance and that there is a Fire TV app - so this one will be easy to view on the projector.

Would thorougly recommend live theatre broadcasts for anyone thinking about it.

Strange thing is - you end up applauding with everyone else in the theatre - even though there's no way that the cast would know .

Took all my last winter's crochet to the charity shop as they were closed through the summer them went on to lunch at our "local" in the country 15 minutes from us. All too many trucks passing us ... no shortage of truck drivers here!

I'm glad you're all set but after reading your OH's comment, I would like to have had time to mail you one of my big old boots... to put up somebody's back side!

Hoooo! Tell him to think himself lucky! My OH had to get up at 5am to drive me to Bordeaux (think M25) for 7am, sit in the car for 3 hours (not allowed in the clinic) then drive back, all to be repeated (albeit a bit later in the day) the next day, for the follow-up. Then same thing again a week later. Poor OH..he doesn't 'do' mornings :roflol:
Hope all goes well for you, Logan :)

Just remind him now you've looked after him during his recent hernia surgery recovery. On the naughty step he goes.:nonofinger:

Because of all the backlog, the NHS are sending people to other hospitals to get things done to try and ease things more locally, I recently had a 9am appointment at a hospital 30 miles away...bang on rush hour and to a busy London commute area too! All my hubs asked for was for me to be ready to leave nice and early, which we did but then because of the restrictions he then spent two and a half hours sitting in the car park!!!

Hope he does the cooking for a couple of days and looks after you during your recovery.

Wishing you all the best @Logan for the procedure and recovery. I have a couple of family members who are very pleased with their outcome from having the same procedure. :dbgrtmb:

Such a gorgeous day here so we decided to go for a walk at Farley Mount, such a beautifull place and only a 10 minute drive away. It's the first time I've been there since losing my Dad last year, so a tad emotional. It's only a 5 min drive from where my parents use to live and they use to do daily walks with all their dogs up there. Since Mum died Dad still went daily with whichever dog he had , I always made sure to go with him too at least once a week.
He knew the area like the back of his hand and was so knowledgeable on it's history......loved my walks up there with him and the dogs. I even imagined I could hear his whistle commanding his dogs to return to heel. :)
