I'm guessing the fuel problems are now sorted, not heard much on the news tonight.

But, the NHS is in total chaos , people are dying, first story.
Pigs are being slaughtered and left to rot, second story.
Felixstowe cant cope and takes 10 hours longer to turn round a container ship than European ports.

And that is before the commercial break.

Has anyone seen that bloke Joel Hills on ITV news, he gets so excited over a crisis, and his eyes bolt and he talks faster.

Let's not forget that we are doomed by a lack of gritter drivers too - apparently the roads won't be gritted this year (how do they know we are going to get that many cold days?).. they will do absolutely anything to squeal that it is all Brexit

Other European countries will be having issue's, just like the states is, this link is worth a read.

The Real Reasons Behind the Container Ship Backlog and Product Shortages – Living With Liberty (livingwithlibertypodcast.com)

We here about all these shortages, Quality Street, well Nestle seem to be doing very well for themselves, their share price hit a record high in late August on the back of reports of healthy growth in their coffee and dairy products.

Turkey farmers in Scotland are reporting they are now under pressure due to unprecedented surge in orders, blaming it on stories that there would be a national shortage.

Local turkey farmers on unprecedented surge in orders for Christmas (pressandjournal.co.uk)

Even toy shops like, "The Entertainer" have been stating there is going to be a shortage of toys. Yet toy manufacturers like Hasbro, Mattel and Hornby just to name a few have been reporting strong sales, with some quarter sales being their best in years, which has been echoed in their share price.

Due to corona virus, consumer spending has changed dramatically, with the demand on goods surging. I said before, I do believe some of these reports are been done deliberately, a lot of companies and business are doing very well out of this pandemic, with reports there is going to be shortages, they are likely to continue to do so.

I think the word 'crisis' is bandied about far too readily. None of these things have really been catastrophic just very inconvenient. The press attach the crisis moniker far too eagerly and create pandemonium.

I think it's all to frighten people into buying goods which the gov will get more money in qiuckly through the VAT, just carry on as normal and don't panic buy

Beside being utterly skint, we are simply not playing along with the games going on - not even bothering with turkey for Christmas this year, we've got a chicken in the freezer so that is plenty. Hell, I will have a sausage sandwich and be happy, it matters not a jot. If everyone shrugged their shoulders and said they won't bother, a lot of this would be sorted out pretty sharpish as those rich folks at the top of all of these businesses wouldn't want to see continued loss of revenue.

We are not experiencing shortages of anything except cash! Instead of shortages, we have prices skyrocketing and the size of the products is reducing. Some of the food almost looks "toy replica" size. And the prices for those are the same as for the older, larger version. Or, the same size packet costs 20% more. I'm quite surprised there are still obese people walking around with these costs of living.

I think it is pretty much only the service/tourism industry that suffered here. Restaurants got shut down, then only let partially open and there is no traffic coming up from the states to visit local hotels.

It all just shows how nasty big business is. To heck with the people and covid, hike the margins and bottom line.

We dont actually have shortages, only panic buying brought on by a toxic media that never wanted Brexit to happen.
Strange that the media never mentioned Brexit until the Covid story became "old hat", so they then have to think of something else to stir up, and Brexit was the only thing they could think of yet again.

                          Prices are rising here also.
We just lurch from one crisis to another, I think they might start banging on about climate soon so that will give them another reason to put up prices.

No, but its a definite sign of climate change, brought about by us all living in one small area of the planet and thus changing the earths magnetic field.
We can expect lots more eruptions of this kind in the future, the lava flowing into the sea will add to the rise in sea level height, so expect more flooding in the future.

                              We're all doooooomed.
