This is the last bit from me about this - then I'm saying no more.

A quick look on google and you can see that other associations have data protection policies - where it is clear what data will be collected, how it will be used, when it will be destroyed and how to keep people informed.

Surprise :yikes: there is no such approach at my allotment.

If something basic like this has been overlooked - what else are they getting up to?

The pendulum is swinging towards jumping into the life boat before the ship sinks.

Perhaps I should have done my own research before joining up .

I never realised getting an allotment was so stressful.
Kind of defeats the object really.

Just go there and grow some plants, every thing just seems so difficult these days, no wonder they keep prattling on about mental health.

Well....I wan't going to say anything else - but just this once then .

It shouldn't be stressful - when the Committee knows what it's doing. I assumed that all was in place - and after scratching the surface - found the complete opposite.

Things have changed since the days of old geezers in gum boots supping tea down the allotment - it's not a nice world out there - you have to be careful.

Now now. I've just made/canned my mince to make tarts a few weeks before Christmas. We have to have Christmas. It's such a great time to feast on sweets!

and cobwebs, I agree with @Victoria. Mine are never at eye level. Always up in a corner at the ceiling. Luckily I don't get a lot of them but I am pretty good at vacuuming up the 8 legged wonders. Oh, no wonder it's been so rainy lately :heehee:

This is only a moan on behalf of someone else, whether he would think it's worth a moan or not.

At 3.50 a.m. I saw someone walking down our drive (the drive is a long one) wearing a very bright head torch. He was delivering a box of flowers from Freddie's Flowers. I opened the door as he approached and he was rather surprised and said he has never met anyone at the door at that time in the morning.

Obviously he does this regularly. Either he's a never sleeps nutcase like me or he has a job that requires him to deliver during unsocial hours. Whichever it is, I sympathise.

Superstition says when you kill a spider, it will cause it to rain.

"“Om du dödar en spindel kommer det regna” is a Swedish superstition that translates to “If you kill a spider, it's going to rain.” Unfounded beliefs like this one are common across all cultures and time periods. Although not based in fact, superstitions still shape the way we interact with the world around us."
