We have all had our covid jabs x 2. No waiting and absolutely no effects after 24 hours of feeling a little sick. I have had my booster at a vaccine centre, so again no waiting. Although I understand that the big vaccine centres are closing and pharmacies will be giving the jab.
MrsH has here flu jab on Monday at a local chemists.
So make sure you get your jabs, for yourself, your family and your community :dbgrtmb:

I don't know why this is such an issue for the media - there must by now be 95%+ of people who have had the jab or who have been naturally infected - so infections are going to come down. We're running out of hosts for the virus.

Rising Covid cases have been putting both the NHS and ministers under huge pressure. But could this be about to change - and change quite dramatically?

Immunity wears off, hence why we need boosters. Plenty of people have caught it twice although thankfully the symptoms are not so bad if they are double jabbed.

I think the reasoning is that apparently over 90% of the population now have some antibodies.
Some thing that nobody had when people were dying in large numbers.

Yes it mutates, but with some protection within your system you should still not get such a bad reaction to it as you would do without antibodies.

I get this as the way you learn to live with it, much like we all live with other viruses.

The actual amount of infections that the media keep enjoying to tell us about is of no consequence if people are not getting really ill.

Obviously deaths are, but even those figures are swayed bearing in mind they are about dying with covid and not dying of covid,
How about giving us figures of all the people who have died within 28 days of catching a cold?

I'm pretty sure there was cases in history where the early explorers landed in new places and took viruses with them, the viruses ripped through the native populations, even wiped some of them out, purely because they had never been exposed to that virus before and had no protection.

The way gas prices prices are going, that's probably the only gas we will be able to afford.

I received a text inviting me to book a Booster Jab, all done online, so easy with 3 venues to choose from. I just hope the taxi is on time for the 16th November, if not I'll get there when I can:old:

I've said it before - people are entitled to make their own mind up when it comes to taking the vaccine - this US court ruling doesn't surprise me one little bit....

A US appeals court has temporarily blocked President Joe Biden's plans for a vaccine mandate for businesses. The law would require workers at private companies with more than 100 employees to get fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or be tested weekly.

Not really what you would call, "learning to live with it", Not sure about this Biden bloke.

You only have to look at the problem we are having regarding vaccine for staff in care homes to see that forcing the vaccine on those that dont want it doesn't work.
