On a dark and stormy day .... I feel a novel coming on! Oh yes, I like those other cruisers. We seriously considered buying a boat here (had them in Alabama, but ski boats) but decided against it as The Arade River near us goes into the Atlantic and we would need an ocean going license ... too much trouble at our age.

Thanks folks,..boats always attract my attention,..as do planes and trains,..just like the song :),..makes one wonder where they came from and where they are going,..who are the passengers.

          Same here Philip!
In the Summer we often sit out and play 'guess where the planes are off to' :heehee:. Hubs is usually spot on ....but I'm normally heading in the wrong direction!!! We then go to the FlightRadar24 App and see whose right or at least the nearest.....lets just say it's a good job that I'm not the pilot!!;)

The planes we see are coming into Faro so we welcome them. Rarely see the ones going out but say goodbye if we do. Airports here are only open 6am to 11pm.

Sorry I'm late seeing this, I must have missed it for some reason.
Those clouds look dangerously low, I hope you didn't get caught in the rain as I did yesterday on my walk (I'll put photos on my thread later .... but not of a wet me !) But I find a plain blue sky becomes a bit boring after a few days, and I like to see some cloud activity in the sky.

Trains and Boats and Planes was one of my favourite songs back in the 60s. I used to dream of getting on one and escaping from school :yay:

Hi folks,..no images today for obvious reasons,..improving for sure,..mornings are worst.

Amazing about the good folk i am connected to in this thread and throughout this Forum,..one seldom comes across bad feeling,..certainly not in either of my two threads in Gardeners Corner,..plus the similar likes in both gardening and beyond the garden,..between taken images and hobbies,..music likes as well,..not forgetting the injuries,..i am sure @Upsydaisy will agree with me,.. we here are a far cry from a previous forum we both posted for a spell,..good manners go a long way and its in abundance here.

I wholeheartedly agree with you Philip. I have been here 15 years now and left the others I was on after brief periods.

15 years is certainly a very long time to remain in a Forum and posting frequently,..it does say a lot for this forum,..my longest was in another garden for approx 10 years,..i liked it but one of the Moderators didn't like me,..just ignored my posts so much others remarked on it,..i had my say and left :)

I hope you'll be fit and well again soon so that you can resume your lovely walks, you must see it strange not being able to go. I suspect Foxy Molly finds it strange without you too.

It is because of this forum and the knowledgeable folk that I have the garden I do. Coming from the UK I knew zero about gardening in a sub-tropical climate so it was a big learning curve.

I love that first picture. Wow, look at those shrooms, are they edible?

Ah yes Victoria i find everyone very helpful,..yes starting a garden in a sub-tropical climate certainly had you thinking hard a looking up suitable plants and shrubs,..what a beautiful garden you have now,..love it every time you post an image,..love your new Avatar as well :)

Lots of mushrooms popping up but which can be eaten ?,..i was suprised by a friend from Sweden when they arrived here,.. as to the amount of edible mushrooms that looked like DEADLY to eat that they were eating,..i wouldn't venture to eat the ones in my image above :stirpot:
